Slacklines are awesome

I finally just got a slackline cause backyard rail setup isnt really an option for me and I love it so much.

Around 45 minutes of playing around with it I got both way 4s and back 6.

Havent tried swaps yet cause they seem pretty scary same with 2s on but what other tricks should I learn? I wanna start trying more creative stuff on it but dont really know how thats possible yet.

There’s was a time period in highschool where I could back flip and land back on the slack line, we would we set it up over a chunk of river with a 10-15 foot bottom. It would normally take me close to an hour to do it, but there was this one time we dropped some acid earlier in the day and I walked up and did it first try. Shit was wild, I know I hav a video somewhere on my laptop I’ll have to dig for it

Just got fromtswaps and switch 2s on so idk what to do now

Backslide/fastslide, feel like 1 footers on a slack line are hard and would give crazy stability benefits

I’ve been thinking about getting a slack line for a long time, is it worth it? Can you possibly even use skis on it?

it is super worth it. I got a 50 dollar one from amazon and it works fine for me. If you have the money its probably better to go around the 100 dollar price range though and not fear the ratchet blowing up when you tighten it

Definitely no skis on the slack line. Even shoes are kinda hard compared to barefeet

i personally find for jumping on it and practicing rail tricks its easier with shoes cause it hurts a little less and you get a little more bounce. But just for balancing barefoot is def better

imma try some typa flip/cork off next week once im back home. Also wanna find a way to have a soft ish landing in case i land on my back ig

as a kid when i was super into flipping, i would put a mattress under the slackline so i could have a soft landing and so i could place the slackline slightly higher up for more bounce/airtime. have fun and lmk how it goes

update: I got all 8 with fours, 2s on and am getting close to 3 swap. I tried flipping and landed on my back so I probably wont try that for a while but still super fun

not a bad idea actually especially for practicing flips if I can get my hands on a pond or smthn of that sort

slacklines are a lotta fun. maybe it's just me, but i always felt like the weird set that comes from backflipping off a slackline is the closest thing to how it feels to backflip on skis without actually being on snow

I like slacklining a lot. Though I think you will actually get much more out of it just walking then learn jumps onto it
