I watched the new brainrot vid and im kinda shocked at the views ngl. You guys stay slacking. There were plenty of other underrated vids too but those are some of the standout ones I noticed scrolling thru vids of the year. I might need to start making a news thread once every month or 2 to keep you guys on your toes

Great list, Jems really been killing it with the zero zone cuts everyone has gone so hard. Also suspects vid went insane and I never expected it to be so gas when I first saw it.
 
Love these threads.

My quick takes:

Brainrot- Exactly the kind of madness I expected from Bootsmoke before clicking the video.

A lot of people will disagree but imo in this case the fisheye for every shot detracted from the skiing.

Sugar High- This guys videos are some of the only ones I watch as soon as possible when they drop. I love the unique yet classic style. K2 should be paying Longhitano more.

WITNESS- This was so dope. I love how most of the spots were busted up in some way. Amazing spot selection and the video just got more wild throughout.

Gran Masta Session- Rare to see a 5 minute park edit where every trick is so impressive/on point. I guess that's what happens when all the most stylish skiers are on the roster. I know it's a good video when I enjoy music I wouldn't normally like because it fits the video.

Lindley- Love to see the boys having a great time with just a small set up. Love free DIY spots. Thise particular video got better when the fisheye got canned, every shot with that distortion looked pretty much the same.

Personally, I think so. Years ago when it wasnt uncommon for NS vids to get hundreds of likes, he was getting like 50 on videos that I think are classics. Fifty/fifty for ex has underrated af imo.

Andrin tgetgel hasn't posted anything in a while but still one of my fav skiers. crazy what he was doing in 2017 and before.

POD is a really dope canadian street video.

Gazz and "I once met a kid named Sagie" are both solid entertaining street videos. It's a shame they both have single digit upvotes

Use it less. If it's all you have, change your angle frequently and get as close as you can. They can be good for follows on jib lines especially if you have no kind of stabilization for a less wide lens.

People hate on gopro videos which are a more clear, usually more stable fisheye, but as long as the lens is dirty, the image is blurry, the colours are unbalanced and the camera is old it's 'core'.

definitely could’ve been more creative with the angles, just really hard to get a cool angle filming tubes lol, that’s why the majority of the video is longlens. i overexposed the clips on purpose, personally i like it more than a clear look

It’s impressive how much talent lurks around here when it comes to filming and videography, especially considering my skills only apply to skiing (barely) and I can’t film or edit well.
 
every week NS is hosting a pro video for free, begging for views...

the hot amateur vids get overlooked, so its great to drop this thread.

(which in my decades of NS, for some reason dropping edits in ski gabber was frowned upon?)
