i ride ak jj's on the daily, but long ass lift lines and crowds have been getting to me on pow days. these are fairly heavy, so i was wondering what something a little lighter but skis similar would be. potentially considering getting a set up with beasts and sending my boots off to cast. 6'2" 190lbs

Voile X9

RMU North Shore 2.0

Faction Candide 4.0

All offer a rocker-camber-rocker profile. North Shore is more directional. All of them would be a good amount lighter than the JJ's. I've also seen stuff about JJ Zero skis for next year which will be a lighter version of the ski but from what I've hear they will be very limited as far as availability goes.

Carbon Pows are similar to a JJ with a longer turning radius and a full carbon layup. They also just went on sale this week.

Also, just a heads up. You can't ride beasts with just a cast mod. Look into kingpins if you want to go that route.

oh damn i did not know that. thanks for the heads up! and those carbon pows look super fun
