Skyrim Glitch - Need Help

I did a quest a while ago, it was to discover something about a missing girl in Markarth. I didn't all the missions and stuff and I got caught by the Stormcloak guards for conspiracy and murder. It turned out that something was going on that was benefiting them and some other people and they didn't want anyone to find out (I'm not sure what it was). Anyway I told them I was framed, I bribed them (they declined), I went to jail and did this mission with the Forsworn while I was in jail. Me and the Forsworn escaped jail. I don't know if I should have stayed or if I was supposed to go with the forsworn but now I am still wanted in Markarth and that really messes up some of my quests. I go there and I got caught again, I bribed them (denied), I offer to pay off my bounty and go to jail and then it resets and goes back to where the guard says: "You have be caught for conspiracy and murder". It won't let me go back to jail again and I always end up being attacked, I finished the whole original mission.

Does anyone else have this problem? Im on the 360 and its a pain If someone could tell me how to get out of this it would be of great help!

I didn't experience this glitch while doing the quest.

SPOILER maybe?

Going to jail and helping the Forswarn escape is part of the quest, but once you escape the Jarl apologizes to you and drops all charges.

Sounds like you'll have to reload an old file and try to redo the quest.

I've been pretty lucky so far with avoiding glitches - except for the glitch that isn't allowing me to get my house in Riften. Apparently there is a way to get around it, but it involves "waiting" for a few months.
 
Ill just run up and talk to the jarl. unfortunately I escaped with the forsworn and never went back into the town until now. I have done quite a bit since then but hopefully I can fix it.
 
The first problem, is that you're against the Stormcloaks. Fuck the Imperials and their religious oppression shit.

But let us put aside my stand on THE WAR. I sugggest simply stabbing every single guard in Markath like a bunch of skeevers and celebrating with the vigor of a Kajiit hopped up on Skooma.
 
I killed those foresworn bitches. You get a bounty if you attack anyone in town while the forsworn are attacking people
 
easy there man, I was with the Stormcloaks, like who would help the people that were going to execute you in the beginning and are taking over the land of the Nords. I joined the storm cloaks and they were the guards in Markarth, thats the only reason I was fighting them.
 
i ran out with them too, and never talked to the jarl. It didn't effect my game at all though and i was able to return to markarth when i did later quests without being harmed (e.g. dark brotherhood, or house of horrors)
 
I did the same mission but when the guards said I was going to be charged with conspiracy and crime bla bla bla. I killed him and now my bounty is crazy high. I just said fuck it though any time I have to do a quest in Markarth I just kill all the guards and go about my business.
 
IMO getting the house in Riften is probably the one that's the biggest pain in the ass. unlike the other places, you don't get all the quests to become a thane from the jarl. my advice to you is to talk around with the people of riften and the riften docks about different things that you can do, most lead back to talking to the jarl.
 
honestly, i'm not much of a quest person but I would try the dark brotherhood quests. Try to avoid civil war and the big mage/wizard quest lines those weren't very fun
 
i'm not having an issue figuring out how to get the house, the game has just glitch'd on me.

the quest where you are to go and "deal with the skooka distribution" or whatever the title is given by the Jarl. If you visit the cave before given the quest it glitches on you. It won't register when you clear the cave again, so you have to wait a month, clear the cave, and repeat until it eventually works. I just have better things to do (both in Skyrim, and the real world) to sit there and wait for a few in game months.
 
Done most of the thieves guild, companions and dark brother hood.

It's weird, now whenever i go to the companions place in whiterun vilkos and farkos come up to me and talk to me even if im talking to someone. Then when i leave they follow me and i cant fast travel anymore. Guess im done going there...
 
ah i see. if you do result to waiting an in game month, press the xbox button while you're waiting, it makes the time go by a lot faster
 
I have the same problem and everytime i want to enter that city i just slaughter every guard then just do whatever the fuck i wanted to do.
