Skullcandy, what do you prefer?

so i got a few pairs of in ear skullcandys, one pair of low riders, and my brother has the skull crushers. im lookin into gettin a pair of the icon or icon 2. but what do you recommend?
 
icons, icon 2s fall of your head without a hat. but don't bother with skull candys shitty quality. try a pair of nixon whips
 
I tried the lowriders and they broke the first time i took them out.

i now have the icon 2 and they slide off really easy unless you put your goggle strap over them and even then you have to adjust them constantly

Low Riders- Ear piece fell ofEar Buds- The buds fall of so easily and are lostIcon 2s- Speakers blown outnew skullcandy agents- cord that connects to ipod comes apart from headphone is broken and one ear is blown out already and i got them for christmas, and i dont even listen to music full volume
 
Don`t get Icons. Falls off really easily, poor sound quality, will broke down and I think they are just a fashion thing. They look good but are rubbish.
 
well it seems like not many people here like the skullcandys haha. the lowriders do fall off my head all the time unless i have them under my goggles which is fine, but the cable part got pulled out of the rubber end so now they are broke. but how do those nixon whips sound?
 
weirdly enough i have never had a pair of skullcandys break on me i have TI'sFMJ'sand Icon2's and not one has broken or gotten messed up and i listen to music full volume when im chillin
 
I broke a bunch of Icon's skiing, the delicate two piece plastic things that go all the way over the head, they always break. But now I ski with Icon 2's and they seem fine, although they don't stick as well as icons.
And it doesn't deter me from their product when they break even though it should, because I just drive a few minutes out of my way to their headquarters and they hook me up if anything is broken.
 
dude thats so nice you live right there. if mine break i gotta mail them in and wait for a new set in the mail. but ive never done that. im thinkin of stickin with the skullcandy lowriders until they break. then im gonna go with the icon 2
 
even though skullcandy has a lifetime warranty i hate em. they have stopped replying to my warranty requests and they have the crappiest quality ever. i had some 10 dollar jvc's that held up better than my fmj's. and i've had like four pair of those. ten pair of smokin buds. and yeah. i usually buy like 6 pair from whiskeymilitia for like 14 bucks a pop. that's all they are worth.
 
Only reason i Bought skullcandy icons is beacause all the pros wear them. But fact is, they are SHIT!Reason Nr 1. They are as uncomfortable as wearing your moms thong!Reason Nr 2. They aallllllways fall of your head!! ALLWAYS!Reason Nr 3. They break as easily as a matchstick!!!!!
What i do is I just use the standard apple one with the remote control on it. The fit my ear perfect and i can change to the next song which is suuuuper awesome!
But the icons look awesome and all the pros wear em sooo they must be good right?!!
 
i dont wear my moms thong...andddddd yeah dude i used to use my standard apple headphones with the remote too. it was perfect till it broke.

There are Discrete/Skullcandy collabo headphones coming out at some point. Saw a pair, they looked like icons but they were slightly different. I think.
 
these are the best, only broken one pair so far by stepping on them with ski boots (doh!) even after some pretty gnarly crashes they stay on and are the best way to listen to music while skiing with a helmet on, earbuds are painful and you cant take them off your ears
 
never had a problem with my icons coming off. just wrap them around the back of your neck and put the left speaker on your right ear and vice versa with the right one. and its not like you are looking to have the best sound quality on the hill so skull candy does the trick, trust me you wont notice the difference because of all the things between your ears and the headphones (toque/google band/yowie/bandana) and the wind blowing by. trust me they are great never had problems with mine and they look sick to.
 
not the huggest fan of SKs, but my gf got me some skullcrushers and they are buy far the nicest SKs I have ever had. Ive had, TIs, Icons, and FMJ buds.
 
my ink'd got cablebroked after 2 days

love the icon (1) but they broke just as easily

wondering about getting the fmj's cause they're cablebrake prevented an rocksolid, but they're too expensive for a pair of "in ear's"
 
ive never owned a pair of the hesh. but my buddy had them and there pretty decent. they cancel out outer noise pretty well but there a bitch to wrap under your goggles cause of how big they are.
 
well i wouldnt put them under my goggles i would put them behind my head and push them under where my ear pads would go.
 
ive probably gone through 20-30 pairs of skullcandy's

they suck cock

dont buy them

unless theyre half off or more

 
Well, if you like skullcandy go with the icon 2's. But i really reccomend ignant snony ones at Best Buy, they're great. Skullcandy's blowout way to easily and they icon 2's snap when you take a bad fall and lean on them. Don't go with skullcandy.
 
i hate to say it but if you fall one basically any pair of headphones doing something with a bit of speed or height you will break them. thats why skull candy is so attractive because they are inexpensive and easy to replace verses a high quality sony or bose.
 
Agreed, I use the cheapo SC buds and they only ever last 6-9 months before one of them blows out but they are cheap and have surprisingly good sound quality.
 
Ive broken about 9 pairs all different models...however i would still buy icons because i can blast them without hurting my ears to bad and i cans simply remove them when i want to talk.
 
yeah dude thats why i love my lowriders. they haven't blown and when i wanna talk to someone i just slide them back a tad. and my lowriders have been through hell and back and only stripped the wire from being pulled to hard. im lookin into some icon 2's
