Skullcandy, Nixon or WeSC?????

Soooo i wanna upgrade from the ipod stock headphones, and have pretty much narrawed it down to skullcandy, nixon, or WeSC. I know, I know... Sennheiser and Grado and all those are the best but i think they look pretty gay, so i was wondering out of Skullcandy, Nixon, and WeSC, what have the best sound quality????? Looking for probably on ear headphones like Skullcandy icons or Nixon whips, etc.
 
I got the Skullcandy Lowrider because I heard that you got guarantee your whole live on them, but I'm not sure if this is true.....
 
Completely out of this kid's price range, and only good for music completely based around low pitches. Mid and upper range of the beats is comparable to my stock ipod headphones. Don't buy these, ANYONE. You can get waaaay better and way better looking for your money.
On that note, wesc and nixon both have some nice headphones, I tried a pair out one time and liked them quite a bit for a cheaper headphone. I personally don't like the skullcandys, my lowriders from a while ago are annoying as fuck and can't sit on your head well, and the icons sound terrible.
If you let us know what you listen to mostly and what your price range is, that would be helpful.
 
Listen to mosty rap, old rock (hendrix, zeppelin, etc.), and a ton of hathbanger type stuff. Price range is around $50 (preferably nothing over 50).
 
First, looking 'gay' should have nothing to do with over ear or on ear headphones because no matter what they all look pretty dumb. But, if you're not down to pay for Senn's or Grado's the WeSC is the way to go.
 
I have a pair of Wesc oboes on right now dope sound sick comfort... i love the ones i have! realy good bass sound and just a generaly good sound.
 
I have the wesc oboes, think that's the name, they sound awesome, great bass, but they're pretty tight on your head, i find my ears start to hurt after a day riding in them. The urbanears have the same drive unit as the wescs and if I recall are less tight, not sure how well they'll stay on if you're hucking shit or whatever though.
 
deffinately get nixons, skullcandys suck so much, they will break within the 2 months that you have them, i havnt tried wesc so i cant say anything about them, but i would suggest nixon
 
I agree that skullcandy headphones are shit. I have had many pairs and they all broke, BUT the full metal jacket earbud is dope!! real good quality!!
 
I'd advice you to get some real headphones that were designed by a company specialised in audio-equipment such as sennheiser or AKG ....
you'll be so much happier + if you want headphones to look nice, you can always spraypaint your sennheisers in some fresh color to make em look like one of those urban ears or wesc headphones....
