Search bar gives me too many results, so this goes out to all the people on NS who are bored and want to be helpful.

How effective is it to use Icon/Recruit with your helmet, like the headband part behind your neck. does it stay on? is it comfortable?

i ahve a small head and they still stay on pretty well depending on A. whether im landing really hard that sometimes makes them slide around a bitB. if my jacket is zipped up a certain way the collar sometimes pushes the headband thingy upwards and they pop off a bit but usually they work wellassuming you have no earpads on the helmet or are wearing a hat

But just to clarify, so if i am wearing a hat under my helmet it is likely they might not fit very well?
 
I wouldn't necessarily recommend it unless you have some knife skills, but I carved out part the styrofoam of my Red hi-fi successfully. My icons fit right in the notches with a hat and my goggles under the helmet.
 
free bump because ive been wondering the same thing. Ive never listened to tunes while skiing but all my freinds do and barely hit the hill with out their music.

Only problem is i broke my earbuds, luckily my freeskier subscription came with freeskier icons.

could someone please clarify how to rock them with a helmet because im kinda confused. like do they go under or over?
 
I do neither, i put em around the back of my neck like those sports headphones, but sicker. Works for me.
 
my smith holt fits like a dream with em under. it all depends on how big ur helmet is though. mine is a size to big and it has the soft padding and ear pads out.
 
those budz are dope i bought em at TJ max 10 bucks and Marshalls has em too

i was sanding some wooden docks with a big loud power sander and i put those babies in and all i heard was bob marley
 
my teejes had full metal jackets for $15.

a cut above haha.

don't get smoking buds though... they are shaped weird and don't fit with alot of helmets.

For me, I out on my toque then gogs then the icons THEN my helmet, once I do up my helmet they will stay on pretty much no matter what. Like someone said collars push them around so just dont zip your jacket/vest/whatever all they way
 
yeah i was so surprised that they did!I only tried it since I saw Dorey and Riddle in dew tour finals so I figured it must work and its true again occasional sliding around from brushing up with my jacket and rough landings (haha or crashes) but for the most part they work nicely and you can hear people better than with buds (granted your music isn't too loud)
 
++k for putting these pics up. i weant and tried it the way you did it and they work perfect. now i dont have to go out and buy new earbuds.
