Skullcandy icon and recruit

this is going to be hard to explain so bear with me...

i have seen skullcandy icons in a store and they had a different ear piece than what i normally see, it had lowrider style ear pieces where there is leather around the outside. like these
http://www.dogfunk.com/dogfunk/SKC0006/large/c7/s52/Skullcandy-Recruit-Headphones.html?swatch=BKTN#

what i normally see is just a foam like a cheap pair of airline headphones would have. there are no pictures of the first ones i described on the skullcandy website. so i am wondering if there is any difference between the two. and is there any difference between the icon, and the recruit? as in the store i saw icons they had the leather and foam and in the picture in the link are recruits and they have the leather and foam.

someone please clear this up for me

I have Icon's and Recruit's but they both have foam. The only thing that the leather would do, is make the sound quality better. But then it sort of defeats the purpose of those headphones, because the point is to be lightweight and not bulky.

my recruits have the leather ear pieces, my icons had foam, just thought that the recruits got the better ones.

My icons definitely have leather. They're this years ones tho... I know the classic orange ones had foam, but I dunno about now. My icons are blue or gold, depending on which piece you put in, but they definitely have leather.

not to bring this thread back, buttt

the older version of the icon and the recruit(they are the same thing) had just foam and the newer versions have the nice leather pads. the new ones rule
