Skullcandy cable

i just got a pair from a friend of mine, a pair of GI's, and the cable is like a foot long. it has the volume control and everything, its just super short. this being the first pair of gi's i've had, is that normal? is there a way to fix it? + k for real answers
 
yea, it normally comes with a longer extention, so you can use the shorty for your coat (in the media pocket) or the long one for djing which i guess is what they were intended for
 
most, if not all, of the skullcandy dj style headphones have a short cord that has an extension that comes with it, making the cord around 3 -4 feet. so yes, it is normal, but it should have had the extender on it. you can probably find one cheep somewhere.
 
they are all supposed to come with one, so if you email skullcandy and tell them you didnt get one in the package you bought they should send you a new one
any best buy or whatever should have one for like 5 bucks though
 
I hate my new skullcandy cable on my FMJ's. I had a pair of 07's that started to go bad, so i warrantied them and got last years models, and instead of the bass control on the cable, it only has an iphone/blackberry button to answer calls. Lame..
