Skullcandies are taking over!

So i walk into school today and i noticed that the amount of kids who have skullcandies have increased so much. 2 years ago the only kids with them were my brother, some random kid, and I. Anyone else been seeing this?
 
not at my school but thats prob cause we get suspended if we wear headphones even if there not attached to an ipod just if they're there which is lame
 
oh yess I just went to the gym and i see like 40 yr old women with bright blue skull candys haha they were like cooler than mine!! thats just not right.
 
every kid at my school got the past smokin buds. at least im the only one with these!

I just ordered the ones you posted a pic of. I've been rocking my skullcrushers for 2 years and a half years. Time for a new pair = ).
 
i use bose noise cancelling for big headphones and smokin buds in lime for i pod, i go through ipod headphones so fast that i just get cheap ones with good sound quality
a lot of the laxers at my school use skullcandy and i saw them for sale at dicks the other day
 
i rock jbl earbuds lol

better sound quality for the same price as skullcandys, which i think are overated and overpriced for the quality
 
not at my school because most of the kids at my school with dj-style headphones are actually DJs, or they just know that Skullcandy doesn't make very good headphones.
 
I've noticed this. Like they use to be just for skiers and snowboarders but now its like everyone has them. I see like a bunch of ugly, loser wanna-be emo girls wearing them blasting they're gay screamo music and I'm like wow, any skier/snowboarder would just laugh at this.

But yea, I don't know why but I feel like I don't like it when things I like become really popular. Its not like I'm gunna stop wearing skull candies but I just don't value them as much.

And second of all, the larger headphones (I have a pair that I never use) are the biggest waste ever. The quality of music is only a little better than the buds but the humongous size of them make it completely unfunctional.

and yeah, most people have smokin buds at my school, a few kids with lowriders, no one with icons, and 2 kids with skullcrushers.

 
i noticed that too. but if i see one more poser emo girl with them, i will probably kill someone. honestly ive had smokin buds forever (like 4 pairs of them in the last few years) i feel like theyre not a s cool now (the new wooden ones are bretty badass tho)
 
im I the only one that goes through the buds a shit load. i have had 2 pairs of smokin buds. each lasted me about 4 months. I had 3 pairs of icons that all died within 5 months. my inked buds just died today after 3 months. my lowriders are falling apart. and the cord on my TIs has a short so I have to order a new one. and yes I know about the warent.
 
Nothing can beat original Icons and the Full Metal Jackets, except i lost two of the plastic buds for one...which sucks.
 
I had some fmjs that were sick but they broke and I got mad and broke my GIs but I still have 2 sets of low riders and a cheap pair of earphones. Skull candy is getting mad popular but I started using them before anyone else I know did.

i swear i feel original wearing my ipod headphones walking around salt lake city, skullcandies are soooo popular here.

i just use my stock zune and ipod buds

a lot of people have the rasta buds though, and my sisters school bookstore sells them
 
Haha true. I don't care about Skullcandy headphones. I buy them because they are cheaper, and I get a pretty good amount of quality for the money.
 
my friend has one, the speakers are very tinny, (no not tiny as in small) but tinny sounding, like a cell phone, but i would grab one in red, theyre dope
 
lol skullcandy's are such shitty headphones, i have blown out all 3 pairs i have owned, they suck dick, end of story
 
exactly i paid ten dollars for my smokin buds and ten for my inked buds. with the lifetime warranty it works perfectly for skiing and stuff because i get pretty good sound quality and i don't worry about trashing them
 
ive never had a pair of skullcandys dj headphones, but i have 2 pairs of recruits and for their price, they sound great, not to mention theyre a lot more manageable than earbuds while skiing
 
totally agree. everywhere, i mean freakin everywhere i turn theres a kid with scull candies and not that ive got anything against im mean i use them but to spend 70 bucks on a pair of rasta headphones is ridulcious.

in europe too,which is really great to see.you can buy them in many extreme shops but the thing is I'm the only guy who owns dem in whole city.
 
i got some skullcrushers when i asked for hesh (for my birthday) and i dunno, not a big fan of them. my friend has hesh and they are way more comfortable
 
I had them last year and all the upperclassmen were like your so gay blah blah blah adn i was the only one who had them. Now every single person owns atleast earbuds its really gay, so i stopped bringing mine to school
 
One reason why they are blowing up is that they are sold at retail stores now. I was in staples the other day getting some shit for work. So I walked by this display thing and they were selling Skullcandys. It was kind of odd to see.
 
I would get stared at all the time when i used to wear my TIs and then everyone got the hesh ones or smokin buds, and now i dont wear them at school.

That and it sounds like that whole switch to target fucked all of their reps, what ski shop can compete with target/best buy selling headphones? so a lot of the ski shops didnt think it was smart to try to sell them so the reps couldnt sell the product to the shops
