Skitching

so i live in a small town on the island of montreal. every day i skate (inline) from my place to work (about 4km). After watching that edit those skaters made in spain, i was inspired so i started skitching rides home after work. What im wondering is what the potential consequences could be legally speaking from doing this

A friend of mine, Caleb Potter, fell while skitching off a car on a skateboard and stayed in a coma for nearly a year, and is still recovering to this day. So either don't do it at all, or make sure you're willing to pay the consequences of falling, not just the consequences of being caught by the cops.

Not tryin' to put you off, just my .02

Everybody used to come into town with boat trailers on the weekends. We used to ditch our bikes, through on some fruit boots and skitch around town. About 12 years ago. Now you'd probably get life in prison for that shit.

its exactly like this man half the people coming through town have boat or jetski trailers its just too hard to resist

Travis Lindsay could tell you a thing or two about the dangers of skitching.

A coach for the freestyle team here fell skitching and he passed away. Be aware of more than just legal consequences

I've skitched on a scooter, bike and longboard, at low speeds in a small neighborhood, behind my friends car. I would not ever recommend doing it, as it is sketchy as balls.

Just remembered the shit we did later in life. had to have been 16/17 because we were driving. Got my friend going over 40 on the long board. through town. Hanging onto the window. Not even sure what we got the bmx bikes up to. Good times.

I don't think anyone ever crashed too badly.

i tried it on a truck downtown, i got a few blocks and then a car started honking and i ditched

It's mad sketchy. I used to do it on my skateboard in a housing development using UPS trucks. I got chased by the cops but luckily I had a friend's house to ditch into.

one time i grabbed the back of a car as it drove past, the driver slammed on the brakes and i hit the back of the car pretty hard, then the guy jumped out and started screaming at me about how he was a police officer and he was going to take me to my dad.

and i was all like.

dude, you are far too aggressive in your anger. im sorry for grabbing on to your car. p.s. im 17 fucking years old and my dad gives no fucks about me grabbing a car while riding a skateboard.

thats my story

the title of this thread is giving me flashbacks to my Tony Hawk Pro Skater/Underground days on the old Gamecube

I think the key is just hold the fuck on tight, so if you lose balance youll just get dragged a little bit instead of dying.
you might get arrested for hopping into the back of a trailer or something, but I would rather that then a serious injury

just got a huge nostalgia boner from watching that

i love that game so much, but on ps2, gamecube is for booger heads
