Skis to replace old 185 armada jj

I’ve mainly been skiing a pair of 2013 armada jjs in a 185 and really loved them until my heel piece ripped out because of an improper mount and it’s looking grim for getting the shop to fix their fuck up and even if they do it’s probably time I consider a replacement. I’m 5’9 185lbs ski a lot of super variable snow, super into moguls lately (jjs are a little clunky in tight mogul troughs) the jj carved super well on groomers for what it is, struggled a little bit on ice but I could pretty much ride them daily no problem.

Also could probably reup on the amersports prodeal so that might sway me pretty heavily towards getting armadas again

had shifts on the old jjs so maybe I should get a jj ul?

Also sorta looking at a deathwish or wildcat or a reckoner 112.

If you’re a fan of old JJs I highly recommend checking out some of the Fat-ypus 5-point models (d’riddum, c-zen, d-vice, M5). Just pick the model that has the waste width you’re looking for and you’ll be stoked. My M5s basically feel like a slightly skinnier JJ with crazy durability and great hardpack performance due to the tight turn radius. They have great end of season sales in the summer time frame if you can wait, basically 50% off most models

Some guy is selling the 110 ones on Craigslist but it’s pretty far away, the m5 looks pretty good will definitely have to keep that in mind

Check out the Volkl Revolt 121. It is a JJ cranked up to 11 imho. I loved the JJ and wasn’t a huge fan of the recent changes to it. The shape of the revolt is quite similar and it skis better in a wide range of snow conditions.

Are the 104s similar feel or is that a completely different ski?
