Skis.. skis... which skis?

Alright guys, you lot know a lot more about the dozens of skis out there than I do so I'm lookin for some help. ++karma.

Basically, I'm sick of my carver skis (Head C220 SI year.. 2004? 2005?), I outgrew them years ago but haven't got round to buying new ones. Last season I had my eyes on the 2008 Armada ARVs and am thinking of buying the 2008s this season with Dynastar PX 12 Jib Wide bindings.

Skill Level:

Blacks comfortable - carving, somewhat comfortable doing quick short turns.

Off-piste - I can ski bowls fine, trees had some troubles with but I'm going to use the "it was my skis" excuse

Park - none... :(

What I want is an all-mountain ski which I can ski fast with on piste if I want to, and have some good float when the powder days come. As for park performance I'm not really bothered as I'm slowly dabbing into that whole area. Bindings wise, nothing too stiff I guess as my knees love popping out of place, but I think I could just lower the din setting.

Watcha reckon? Thanks.

big trouble's, and if you're not getting to heavy into park stuff prophet 90s (they've got metal in, potential to bend on park jumps/bad landings) or even some rossi S3's

get a ski around 200 bucks or something. look into like last years skis if you need to. just dont get nothin but trouble i made a mistake on those last year.

So I guess you guys don't rate the armada arvs highly? The big trouble look nice, prob be a bitch to lose in powder though if ya dont have a ribbon.

What about the bindings? One I spoke bout should be alright? Also.. 176cm a good height if im 178? Seems a bit long

armada JJs

maybe look at some Lines too

something around 115 would be good for you

definitely not below 95 waiste

armada JJ's or volkl bridge man

both similar, bridge may be a little stiffer but both can work well in crud and on groomers - ive atually seen some poeple use bridges in the park and im sure JJs you can do same with. i'd say 177 size as well for ski length.

Going from evogear, it's really between the bridge and the big trouble.

Bridge seems to have a shorter turning radius and both are 92mm waist, but the bridges are only available at 169 whereas the big troubles are 166 or 176.

At 178 I guess 169 isn't too bad?

At the moment I'm gearing more towards the 169cm volkl 2008 bridges.

If anyone knows of any good european ski selling sites that would be a huge help as I'm in Europe it costs a 100 bucks more just to get it shipped over. Will have a drop by my local stores to see if they could order it but as they're last years skis may not get lucky.
