Skis similar to the dumont?

I have a pair of salomon dumonts. Yesterday the edge tore out, so i'm in search of another pair of skis. I love how the dumonts ski, but this time around im not looking for a ski that is dedicated to park (so i want it to ski better all mountain. not by much, but a little). I love the flex and fun-ness of the dumont, so i'm looking for something that skis similar to the dumont except a little better all mountain. What should i be looking for? and a size of 181 is an absolute minimum for me. I would like something around 185-187 but 181 will do if i cant find anything that long.
for refrence, these are the dumonts that i had (I don't know the year)

and if i can, i want to buy last year/2 years ago skis. not used ones, but new. i don't want to spend 700 bucks on skis that will get a beating in the park.
Thanks.

im not really sure how the dumonts ski because i have not personally rode them but it sounds as if your are looking for a really lively ski thats gonna tear it up all over and still kill it in the park. i ride some icelantic da'nollies and those are probably a little more park orientated than you are looking for but i would seriously check out the pilgrims. they are incredibly poppy, lively, and sooo much fun to ski. they just kill it all over.

Head JO pros (cap construction ones) are probably the only skis i've tried that ski very close to Dumonts (also had 181). They don't have as much sidecut as Dumonts but it's a good thing imo, anyway, the difference is not that much at all.

Besides mentioned they are both really close (flex wise, weight, swing weight, even cap construction). Dumonts are about 5mm wider at every dimension, but it doesn't matter much in the park i guess, actually personally i prefer skinny skis.

The new JO's (Olivia ones) got even softer, but except that, wider pattern and sidewall construction they are still good alternative to Dumonts. Keep in mind that each season there also was a non-pro model JO skis with different topshheet, but exactly the same technically (Spawn, Mojo One, Bullet depending on the season).

Hope that helps.

^ thanks and + K. im looking at what deals i can get on skis and i have found 2008 volkl walls, 2009 fischer addict pros, and 2009 dumonts. I hear great things about the volkl walls. anybody know how they compare to the dumonts?

btw, forgot to mention that older JO's don't go longer then 178 but actually they ski longer than 181 Dumonts and are pretty much equal side-by-side due to way lower tips and tails.

If your willing to ship, porters tahoe outlet has a few of those very skis for cheap.

i ski the Armada El Rey, it is a good all mtn. ski, a little stiffer, and still works in park, but ive never rode the dumonts so idk

i've skied the 2008 dumonts and i really liked them..they were super light and poppy and fun. too bad they don't make them anymore. i had k2 disorderlys last year and they were polar opposite of that, so i'd count out anything k2. this year i got the 2010 walls and i really like them. they're a little bit on the heavy side, but other than that they carve and spin really well. they're maybe a tiny bit stiffer than the dumonts, but buttering on them is really smooth and easy. for all mountain they carved well on ice (for the few days when the edges were still sharp) and aren't bad in like 6-8 inches of powder. obviously the tips dive under but they're still pretty nimble and fun. so anyway i'd definitely recommend walls. also im 6'3'' and 180 lbs just for reference, and ski 185s.

Awesome. Thanks a bunch for your input! +K to you.
I found a good deal on the 08 walls, but from what I hear they are stiffer than the '10 model. im 6'3 and 200 lbs. Will the 08 Walls be too stiff if I am looking for something like the dumont, but a little stiffer? I'd like to be able to butter without destroying my shins.

i have the 2010 walls and i love them so much. they are softer than previous versions of the walls but they are absolutely sick on jumps and may be a little stiff than a very soft ski, but they are easy to butter and destroy rails. hope that helps.
