Skis For That Deep Stuff

Hey guys, i know it's getting a little later in the season but oh well, i want a pow ski!I'm 5 7, 135 pounds intermediate/expert skier, and want a ski that's going to be fun and jibby, but still manage to drop cliffs with ease. I most likely am not going to be skiing any super gnarly tech lines, but i want something that will hold up on some steeps, and won't make me feel like I'm going to absolutely die on hardpack. Some skis I'm interested in: ON3P Caylors, Atomic Bentchetlers, and next year's Line Mr. Pollards Opus

next year's Line Pollards Opus sounds good as well as the sir francis bacon. i dont know much about the other skis u mentioned

Reverse sidecut with a rocker is where it's at. Huge fan of my Rossi S7's. Sturdy and insane float but the rocker makes them so playful and "jibby".

Stiff or soft =/= playful and jibby.

Either way, they're not that stiff...

I've ridden a lot of super soft pow skis and I am NOT a fan.

Especially on the steep and deeps...

And all the chatter on the groomers/hard pack because of how long I ride pow skis... yuck.

Demo them, you won't be disappointed.

My bf just sold his Keepers for the JJ's... another ski I would recommend. Keepers were too soft yet not playful enough.

The S7 is pintailed, its a very directional ski that is designed for a traditional mount point. Considering the other skis he's looking at, its a pretty large departure...

ON3P Caylors dude!

I have JJ's and they are great, perfect all around and good on hardpack. But bentchetler look more playful, and they are a little bigger. I think on3p have a sale, so maybe caylor like you mentionned

This. I cant fucking stand soft sloppy powder skis. Man the fuck up and get something stiffer so you can actually charge rather then having a ski that sucks at everything except resort powder runs.

the S7 comes in two models for 2012, one with metal and one with out, so i would got with the one with no metal, it skis great, awesome jumper

The JJs are pretty much the benchmark pow ski..... though... i have never had as much fun on any ski as i did on the bent chetlers IMO
