Skis for my father.

My father is 5' 7" 140lbs, 63 years old and can ski top to bottom all day long on most terrain. He needs a ski that he can have for a one ski quiver, he enjoys carving groomers and pow. He mostly skis Vail and Breck. I was looking into last years volkl mantras but i could not find any that are cheap and this years are very expensive. He like stiff skis, he is old school and can carve a wooden plank like its going out of style, but if the ski is soft and can pwer through crud on bad days he is iopen minded. The kicker is the ski must be affordable. like $400 or less. It does not need to be this years model but something new, never mounted powder friendly and groomer friendly. He is not adverse to twin tips, he currently rocks my old K2 enemies, the black ones with the american flag colored bases. He is on a 183. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'm lookin for some guns or pr's for my dad. not as stiff as those volkls, but a very good all around ski. makes a great one ski quiver.

last year my dad had the atomic snoops, hes like 6 2 185 and he loved them. theyre super light and good all around. they arent twins, but most dads dont care about that.

oh wow, i weigh 20 lbs more than your dad, and quite a bit taller than him

anyways, seths are pretty good, my dad has them and loves them

ya thats what i convinced my papa to get and he loves them!!! he went from some straight heart skis, to parabalic salomon crossmax's and he loved the difference, and then to the B4s and he cant belive it.

My dad is one of those super technique fags but he shreds quite respectably on vokyl carvers, in so much as you can call like, PERFECT textbook skiing shredding (it's really not, theres no chaos in his ride at all)

I think the Prophets are a good main-brand ski (wow, calling line a prime brand feels weird). Surface is a little flexy compared to the prophets imo. Lib-tech's 07/08 models come in a ton of stiffness/geometries and shred east ice pretty well

hope it helps
