SKIS- dumonts or 10th Aniv. teneightys

im debating which would be better for me, the dumonts, or 10th aniv. teneightys

-ive had the 05 thrusters for 3yrs but now there done with

-ive tried most other ski brands and like salomon the best

a lil bit bout myself

-6'3'' 180lbs

-i mainly ski packed ice (wisconsin) but take a few trips to colorado

-im expert all mountain, moderate slopestyle and beginner in pipe

-due to small hills i need a lot of speed in a little distance

-the skis need to beable to take a beating and not get thrashed from rails

any advice is great-
 
If you're stoked on Salomon, choose the Dumont over the 1080. The dumont's have sidwalls, added width underfoot, and great stability on large features. On the other hand, have you considered the suspects? They're similar in width (86mm under foot) to the dumont, but have more pop and playfulness on rails/ park features.

If it were me, I would go with a company like Surface. The Watch Life is less expensive, more unique, and perform just as well as the suspects in the park. One added bonus to the watch life is the width under foot. At 90mm, you can take them out of the park and have blast on pow days! Having a ski to rip tree runs/pow and slay rails/ jumps is ideal.

 
well i heard a lot of people didn't like the suspect, i guess it felt pretty dead and was a bitch to turn. the sidecut wasn't very good for skiing switch either. and the dumont is essentially the same ski so i figured it was the same.
i personally haven't skied either of them its just what ive heard, everybody is stoked on the 07/08 dumonts tho.
 
damn i was gunna get the suspects becuase i know thyey can take a beating. but i have noticed that in the x-games dumont was using this years (07-08),but with next years graphics. but if what you heard is true,the dumont is the same besides one layer of edge armour,then the 08 dumont would be a wise choice.
