Skin with only AT boots?

Hahahahahah no no no, I mean like skin with a pair of skis that doesn't have AT Bindings, but I have walk mode on my boots. I don't wanna invest in AT Bindings, Im not doing full on Backcountry, just a few lines around the outskirts of the ski resort.

I mean, there's zero chance of this being fun, but sure, go for it. Honestly though, I'd say invest in snowshoes instead of skins. Snowshoes are so terrible, but they're better than shuffling around without any pivot haha. And there will always be some sucker out there who wants to buy your used snowshoes when you want to actually tour and have fun.

Just make sure your cost-saving measures don't extend to safety gear.
 
You are going to make it about 25 feet from your car and realize it’s this absolutely a terrible idea.
 
Day makers is the way to go. It’s not too much more but definitely worth it, especially if you don’t know what a light setup feels like.
 
I did end up going with daymaker, I do have to say tho I had no understanding of how any of the touring stuff worked at the time of posting this thread, I'm looking it now and this is funny

I was there too, don’t worry. But I’m glad you got day makers. I love mine a lot and I love taking them on adventures.
