Now just as a thought, I know that NS is really going to get more money for having more members and all and that they are a big name now in skiing really, but

I just read Jacobs post about how he is leaving, becuase of how this the members of this site act. And I am on the edge of following the kid. Its getting old. Now you say I bitch. I don't care. I am on multiple mountain bike sites where there is alot less tolerance and its totally fine. I don't understand why people that do not talk skiing and are not useful are even tolerated? I honestly think that people like LIL Gordian should just be gone. There is no purpose for them. We should be a core group of skiiers, and a place people go to learn and see how skiing really is. How we are. I woulnd't ski with half of these assholes. Granted there are a lot of rad peeps on this site, the bad is growing quickly. I say you cut the tolerance and just IP ban non useful people of the forums.
 
i agree with you but thats just not the way things are... you just have to either a) go along with it and have fun or b) just ignore all of the bullshit and concentrate on all of the intelligent posts like this one
 
but they could be that way. I am on a site called nsmb and they blew up and deleted like half the members that weren't ever talking about biking and then they made it so you ahve to request to get in and stuff, its awesome, and its not hard to do, and it would make the mods lives hard for like a day then theire would be much less buillshit.
 
I think some shit should be cleaned up, obviously aliases like lil g and such, but other asshole members... would be hard to moderate fairly like scientist.

Well, a whole lot of other kids bitch, and they don't care either. You're just as bad as the rest of them. Your holier-than-thou attitude is also a part of what makes this site so hard to deal with sometimes. You hate, and so you get hated on. It's a terrible cycle, but you have the power to break it by practicing what you preach, and until you do that, you deserve zero credibility and even less respect.
 
I do practice what I [preach for the most part. I make a few comments, but this is not having anything to do with practicing what I preach. I have been on other sites and they have done some cleaning and they are really kick ass now. You for example make like tons of threads about things like Naked guys sliding rails and Ktownchic and your a dick all the time and post lots of stupid assholish things. So you opinion means not much to me.
 
of course ns is going to have a lotta bitching and complaining cause look at this, we almost have 80,000 members! so many different personalities. everyone has their own opinions n shit so of course were gunna get some complaining
 
exactly man, i shouldnt be banned for that. one horrible incident, but if it happened again with a warning, then i should probially be kicked the fuck out of here
 
there is a site that i frequent called www.ziptied.com and to get on the forums you have to go through an application process in which the current members review your application and decide whether or not you would contribute to the forum in a positive way. the moderators also take a no nonsense stance on disputes between members. although its strict there is no bullshit. they made that site to get away from places such as www.drifting.com which in our case would be like a newschoolers.com

it would be nice if there was a forum like that but for skiing where it would just be sensible discussion and every post is worthy of reading.
