Skiing without gloves

Ok, I'm not trying to come across as some old fart, and I realize i am probably going to be yelled at by a bunch of kids because of this, but i dont really care.

I've seen some people do this, both on the hill and in some edits, and i am wondering:

Why the hell would you ever want to ski without gloves? I literally see no benefits to doing it what so ever. Is it hip to have cold and wet hands?

I usually do when its warm out. Mostly spring time skiing though when its bluebird and mid 50 degrees outside. Other than that, Gloves are always on.

When I read the thread title I thought it was going to be about how good skiing without gloves is, and I was ready to tell you how stupid it is. I completely agree.

i never ski bare hands but usually i ski with glove liners on its just more comfortable to me and if my hands do get cold i always have my gloves with me

not only is it cold and wet as fuck to ski without gloves. but you can also cut your hands up on your edges when doing grabs

I do it if its warm and im just hitting rails, I find its alot easier to jam your thumbs without gloves though which can be really painful, so usually there on all the time

when it's really hot/im hiking alot, ill take my gloves off, but this usually results in my hands bleeding profusely.

I have awful circulation in my hands. There for i always always wear nice warm mitts. When spring skiing ill break out the park gloves.

As for skiing without gloves, personally i would never ever do it because my hands would be frozen in a matter of minutes.

Funny thing though, a couple years ago at orage's pro's and powder tour, it was around -20 C so pretty cold yet when i was riding up the lift with TJ i noticed he was wearing no gloves. I asked him why and and he said his hands never really get cold.
