this is why a lot of people are beeing seen not wearing a helmet, because challenging yourself is different to everyone.

Harsh example: a dub 10 for bobby is a joke compared to the average joe.

Allthough a helmet could be worn at all times despite the difficulty for overall injury fallout prevention.

Its true. I didn't read it. Also, I wear a helmet. The point I'm making still applies. Below is a definition of virtue signaling

the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one's good character or the moral correctness of one's position on a particular issue.

That's about all this thread was ever going to accomplish. There are some skiers, er uhh cyclists I guess, that prefer not to wear a helmet fulling knowing that they could hit their head and sustain a traumatic brain injury.

There's a way to discuss helmets and the risks associated with not wearing them without casually placing yourself at the top of a moral hierarchy.

I think it is a pretty useful term, albeit often misused, in describing a common pattern of behavior on the internet.
 
If you would like to be a little hall monitor and worry about everyone's safety on the hill, why don't you start with learning and teaching others, the Skier Responsibility Code. Rule one "Stay in Control". And the two that apply most to the park #3 and #4, I'll let you look them up, since I'm pretty sure no one knows these off the top of their head.
 
If you are precious about your safety you are free to do so. However skiing is a lifestyle and without taking risks i would sit at home reading a book... that is safer.
 
I use to think it was cool to not rock a helmet.. then I got older... got a job.. and responsibilities.. and now realize I make my livign off my noggin so i protect it.

Its pretty simple.. Ive had numerous buddies go to switch and catch an edge and slam into the ground doing 50mph+.. (one broke his neck the others were lucky and just broke collar bones)

If anyone says your not cool cause youre wearing a helmet - then just trade punches to the head.

I don't think he attached a helmet to his head. That doesn't sound like trend . That is all.
