Skiing with your parents

So today i skipped school and went skiing with my mom. We go up the park lift and go to a side trail on it. No jumps or anything. So then we go on some normal runs with jumps on the side and i hit them. and then we went to the terrain park lift again and i told her to go down it. she turns to me and goes. "You want me to go down that?" Shes a pretty advanced skier but she wouldnt go dow it. I just needed her to film me or take my picture. So i had her take my picture off some side jumps later in the day. She barely got them tho they came out bad.

I was wondering. Do your parents ever take you away from the park when you go with them. Or any stories with your parents and skiing?

when I ski with my parents I usually dont try to make them film me, or ride park.

I just ski with them to take it easy and spend a little time together, then ill shred another day.

Whenever I ski with my dad we ski in the woods and do gnar stuff. He likes going through the park and watching me sometimes though.

Wasnt yelling at her to film i just wanted some pictures of me going off the jumps. when i snowboarded she had no problem taking pictures of me. she was the one pushing m to go off jumps. But when she send me the pics ill post them.

my dad stops every 5 turns for a waterbreak, so I'll only ski with mom. shes really good and been skiing since the 70's but scared of everything and has a mini heart attack if I leave her for a minute to hit some trees :p

number of kids typically don't matter, I have seen moms who have given birth to 5 kids and are FINE, and moms who give birth to one kid and make you turn around

My mountain doesn't have a park, but my dad and I go cliff hunting fairly often. He loves skiing halfpipe, but alas the mountain no longer has a pipe. My mom has been known to get dozens of inches of air off mini jumps from time to time too.

I dont make my parents film when I ride... usually dont ride that much park with my dad, he likes moogles which i dont really

since the pipe is the first feature in our park, my dad always hits the pipe with me, goes off the jumps too. no rails though

I don't go in the park even by myself but when I am with my parents I am so much better than them (not claiming, I literally am) so I usually end up showing them around the mountain.

My parents both rip. I've skied waist deep powder with both of them and got my mom to slide a box once.

sometimes when my mom wants me to go skiing with her and she wont film me in the park im all like "FUCK YOU MOM!!" becuase she is such a bitch for making me skip school to go skiing and then not fucking filming me... i hate my parents when they pull shit like that

my dad used to be the biggest ski bum ever went out west like 3 times a year and shit and now he hates skiing or having anything to do with it really I dont understand it at all

well im a major park skier but when im with my parents i let them chose where we go and i dont go to the terrain park mabey once when im with them just get a friend to take a pic or record you not your parents.

I ski with my dad 80% of the time
He is like 47 but fearless. Hes my guinea pig for jumps, i tell him to hit something, he does, and reports to me on how it was

That's awesome... Mine ski, but they like the slow greens & blues.... they enjoy the scenery more than the thrill of shredding park! But to see my Mom hit a jump would be priceless

Both my parents shred. When I ride with my dad it's always the steeps and trees. Hell he pushes me more then most of my friends do in terms of speed. As for my mom, well she loves straight lining groomers and charging in the trees. I even taught her to ride switch and she's not half bad at hit.

My mom is a super gaper... my dad does some gaperish things, but can shred up the groomers pretty decent haha

well they don't ski park so yeah, they enjoy the scenery more as well....

if you change the word park to trees/gnar then you got a true statement.

just the fact that you can skip school and ski with your mom is awesome. i hope im doing that with my kids!

my mom never skiid a day in her life. My pops rips, he loved carving big ass turns on groomers, then hitting the trees and bowls for waist high pow pow, small cliffs sometimes too. We dont ski much but when we do he enjoys skiing with me because he usually goes with my little bro who can rip when he gets in his mode but usually sucks ass.... I dont take him to the park because he doesnt enjoy it, its nice to hit the pow pow and trees and fast groomers sometimes for a change.

i skipped school with my mom to go watch the first Icer Air Comp in San Francisco.

I've skipped many a friday pow days senior year of HS to go to tahoe with my dad.

thats awesome. i wish my parents skied. i will def be that dad that would let my kid skip school for a powder day.

my dad is pretty fearless skiing.hits small jumps, and hits some decent cliffs hahathinks he can do anythingat 54

my dads had a few knee surgeries so hes not hucking off anything, but well go shred pow together or whatever. hes certainly not a bad skier, just cautious since hes almost 50, you dont bounce back like you do when you are young.

my mom is pretty mellow, pretty much groomers only for her, but still alright to ski with for a day or 2

my dad doesnt ski in MN anymore only in the mountains.

he will ski anything groomed and a bit of powder. but his 53 yo body does NOT ski anything bumpy.

he is actually still recovering from a fall he took last year messing up his shoulder. he was only able to golf twice last summer. so yeah an old body isnt nearly as resiliant as a younger one.

i like skiing with him. if you think about it with everyone getting older, going different directions, etc its not like ill be able to ski with him forever. so i enjoy spending half the day skiing with him a couple of times a year. (thats all he skis)
