Skiing with screws in your leg?

I broke my leg on Friday, came out of surgery today with 8 screws in my leg and was wondering, do screws feel weird with a ski boot on? Will this limit my skiing movement at all? Does anyone here have experience with this type of thing?

Luckily I’m from NZ so our season has just ended

That sucks. I hope you are alright. I have screws in my foot and I don’t notice them at all.

is it me or does one of those screws look like it is just laying there like the dr forgot it there ?

Cheers, that’s good news

I’m not too sure but I think that other screw is just going from one fragment of the bone into the other, not going through the plate

Tough break… pun intended.

honestly I’ve never had a break like that but a lot of friends have. I’ve had a lot of ligament/cartilage soft tissue damage and orthopedic surgeries.

from what I heard from my friends who’ve had breaks w hardware they heal quite nicely and you don’t have to do as much pt or chronic pain management.

Do your time, shit heals, and you don’t have to worry about blood flow and flexibility and shit doesn’t atrophy as much.

don’t use nicotine, try to eat as well as you can and hit the body weight pt cycling and yoga hard and you’ll be shredding in no time
