Skiing Whistler in June

Headed out to Vancouver on a family trip two weeks from now, and was gonna head up to Whistler for some biking/ glacier skiing for a couple days and wanted to see if any of you guys knew what the public park on the glacier and skiing in general is like at this time of year. COC can sell me a park day pass which is kind of expensive but can get me more access and more hours of skiing but I am trying to figure out what I am best off doing. Thanks

for skiing in the middle of summer public park isn't bad at all. just by seeing videos it seems to get better every year and they got a shit ton of snow this winter+new snowmaking so i doubt it'll get any worse. you could probably poach a few laps at some of the other camps too. just play dumb if you get caught.

Ive heard some rumours around town that the glacier might not even have a public park this year but who knows, that just a rumour.

Last summer public park was super fun for like the first half of the summer or a bit more, the last week and a half two weeks there wasn't much left, but it was still cool. It'd suck for those who can't afford camp if they don't have a public park this year, I guess a ton of people will just poach then

I'd like to hear more information on the park, considering I plan to head up for the end of the month. If they don't have one whatsoever, it makes it harder to justify paying for a lift ticket

same here man, let me know if you ever find out anything else about the park status. Thinking about giving the mountain a call in the next few days to see what the deal is

They will have a public park, but it's more like a public run... A few features in a row.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you know when it will be up?

the glacier was so much better like 3 or 4 years ago. public park had multiple jumps, a little half pipe and two different rail lines. coc even had a full length 22 foot pipe. used to have so much more snow up there, i skied DOA in at the start of july one year. oh well, ive finally got a bike park pass now so im stoked. ive heard that the snowmaking they had up there this winter didnt really do anything.

anyways, not to get negative about it. skiing in the summer is always a ton of fun, will be interesting to see how it looks when it opens on saturday.
