Skiing Video Cameras

i know this has been done b4 but i want to know what is a good digitl video camera in the prise range of 1000-1200?

Soming for skiing and easy to hold (Like the ones will the handles on the top) and high quality.

there is no way you will find a gl2 or vx2100 for 1000-1200. Id go sony hdr-hc1 or used gl1 or vx1000
 
Far anything with in 1500 or so would be good az. Ones with handles are good az for skiing. What models and makes have these?

List afew if possible.

used to be my dads he bought it for around 3g when it first came out like 10 years ago

i threw $700 down for the mark 1 lens and another $150 for 50/100 watt mount lights. battery is heavy as fuck though
 
id say a gl2 vx1000 or vx1200. out of those id get the vx1000 its probably the best for skiing stuff, but the gl2 is really really close, i just havent heard alot about it so i dont know.
 
Yeah but there are like $3000 bucks and im not a professional and i dont have that much money. Whats a decent MP for realy nice looking video to be edited?
 
i thought the gl2 was like around 1500? and the 2100 cheaper? mabye im wrong, but the vx1000 you can get for like 1100 and mabye around 9000 if your lucky, and its better than both those cameras in alot of ways.

There is one on trademe.com for $2500 with fish eye and spare battery. but i cant find anything in NZ for lower than that! Fucken shit!!!
