Skiing under the lift

I have a confession and that’s I love showing off under the lift it makes me ski harder too. Is that bad that I like the attention so much. It’s like some of my best memories skiing are under the lift.

I used to love skiing under the lift. Sometimes if the mountain was quiet but I saw people coming up the lift I'd wait for them to get closer before dropping into the jumpline or hitting a rail. Now I hide from people lol. Although we have a wiggle right under the lift and I don't mind bombing through that. But my park game sucks.

Idk it's weird, but we're weird. Just do your thing. Especially riding solo it can hype you up. I like riding the park solo sometimes, but def also have enjoyed the hype of having people around. Do your thing.
 
Sometimes I worry I might be ripping too flawlessly and someone on the lift might get offended and try to take me out from the high ground. So I tone it down when people can see me.
 
One of my favourite things to do on skis is just bomb as fast as I can zero turns under the lift and image people on the chairs saying “holy fuck that dude is hooning”
 
Ill avoid skiing under a lift unless its nessassaraly like when they build a park completly under a lift like in snowmass. Hate it when I have people watching me ski tbh. Ill let people pass too bc I dont want someone riding behind me watching me hit rails all the way through the park.
 
We dont really have parks under lifts where I ski but when we get snow I love the tech liftlines if you can rip and people are hyping you up its awesome. Even falling trying a 3 or something is fine bc majority of skiers cant do 3's or even 1's so I think about if it was me on the lift I'm like that dudes sending it that's so sick and it kind of gets me hyped to hit something or ski that line
 
early season pow day at Alpental, jumping the cliffs under chair 2.. the coolest feeling in the world when people are hyping you up and then you get sendy
 
Skiing under the lift is a win win, if u do something cool u get hype, if u eat shit and it looks cool u get hype
 
Skiing under the lift on a powday and getting hype from the lift is a top tier experience.

my local hill rents the whole place out to local colleges until midnight, I work there so I get to ski until midnight as well. there’s something therapeutic abt the way drunk college bros hype me up while i try to switch carve down under the chairlift.
