Skiing Term Paper HELP

My English professor assigned our term paper last week giving us the option to write about something that interests us. The main goal is to teach him about our topic whether it be how it makes you feel or why it interests you. I decided to choose skiing as my topic. More specifically I would like to focus on why skiing is so important.

I've been given the privilege to use NS as a valid source so I am planning on using some of the responses on this thread (if any LOL) in the paper to give other peoples meaning and thoughts of skiing.

PLEASE give some feedback on why skiing is important to you and/or why you decide to revolve a decent portion of your life around it; cause I surely do! I would really appreciate any response.

You should pick a more specific aspect of skiing (i.e. more interesting) to make your paper somewhat readable as opposed to writing 10 pages of "I like skiing because it is fun and freeing and helps me express myself through freestyle and it makes people happy and when i have to go potty it's hard to take all the clothes off"
 
Skiing is an escape from all the bullshit that goes on throughout the day. It allows people a chance to connect over shared ideas and experience different ways of living. In the NS community I think most of us agree that skiing is life, it is what we live for and sadly die for. Skiing has brought my friends closer and allowed me to meet people from across the country.

Honestly if it wasn't for skiing id be sitting on my ass all day playing xbox. Plus it keeps me in shape (Sort of lol). Skiing has taken me places as well as meeting people from all different walks of life. Its my escape from my everyday life. Thank you skiing.

Ski tracks run mountainsides like calligraphy

It's simple to me, the mountains are where my heart is supposed to be
