Skiing Switch...

you usually only get yelled at for skiing switch (ANYWHERE) if you're doing it on a trail with a shitload of people, or you're going too fast
 
^so pointless. if the patrollers dont want people getting hurt they should consider that: chances are that the people that ski switch are probably pretty damn good at it. we are a smaller threat to hurting people than gapers, beginners, and intermediate skiiers are.

anyways, thats gay. at my hill the patrol are totaly chill about it, sure some gapers will get mad at you, but most of them are like,"woah hes skiing backwards"
 
i hate it when gapers see you then try and ski switch without twins. but i started carving switch for the first time yesterday it was nasty. soooo fun
 
dude that seriously blows. sounds like you have gay ski patrol if you can't even hike a rail. breck is awesome because the patrol isn't supposed to follow you into freeway (the park). if they do you can just ask to see their supervisor and they'll leave you alone.
 
Dude if they have to tell you not to ride switch there must be a reason, like you suck. Us snowboarders don't have to worry about sucking at switch because either way it looks the same. Maybe you should get you ass of the mountains if you suck so much going forwards you have to ride switch.

my ski patrol is all really old ppl and if i ski switch they just look at me weird lol and then gaper kids see me skiin switch and im carvin better than them even tho there goin the right way down the hill lol it so funny
 
does it say anywhere in the rules that skiing switch isnt allowed? If they try to clip your pass ask to speak to the manager and put up the biggest fight you can. Point out how your switch skiing is better htan the ski patrols normal skiing. I hate ppl like that. I just put up the biggest fight i can.

i fucking love doing the wedge thing tucking like a 5 year old with my poles striaght up in the air. than pop out of it and start skiing switch.
 
yeah I'm serious, if they have to tell you not to ride switch, it's because you put other people into danger, there for you suck balls at skiing
 
i like tucking on the flats switch, just like what the gapers do skiing regular. they get pissed cuz you're still going faster backwards than they are forwards.
 
I like skiing buttwards. The sad truth is that Ican beat a large number of the patrol at my mtn while going buttwards.

I had the same thing at whistler, they even took my name and pass number, I was like "how do you know when snowboarders are riding switch?" He didn't want a bar of it. It ski discrimination I tell ya!
 
I was teaching a lesson to ski switch once, and the kid just wasnt getting how to turn without a backwards wedge, so I took him through the race course switch...the race staff was not happy with me, but whatever, the kid got the point, plus it was kinda fun putting up a time on the course switch that beat most of the gaper regular times
 
just people who suck at skiing.

my mountain they really don't care about skiing switch, and if i ever get yelled at, i know the head of the park (a really chill guy) and he would probably tell the ski patrol that its no big deal, but that has never happened because the ski patrol here don't care.
 
ski swittch all the time... fun down the beginner slope cause they all give you that "WOW" look or "what the hell?" it's hilarious when a group of 4 of us ski past the beginner all switch ahahahahhahaa
