Skiing Should be a Summer Olympic Event

I think it's awesome the USA is KICKING ASS is the Summer Olympics, however in my personal opinion, I can't turn them on and watch them. But.... If some type of skiing was an event, I'd call in sick for work every day to get rid of my summer blues. I understand there can't be snow, so to be creative I though an event could be made where they do a Nitro Circus/Candide Thovex take on it and create some Epic new events.

THOUGHTS/IDEAS?
 
I reckon that'd be mad as but I can't see it happening any time soon. Skateboarding is being introduced to the next olympics and that's a well established sport. I don't think candide thovex summer skiing is that big quite yet. If you start a petition tho I'll be the first one to sign it
