Skiing Salt Lake Season 2021

Hey guys

I'm planning a trip to SLC with hopes of skiing powder and park for 2-3 weeks in January and/or February.

The idea is to stay in SLC and take the bus everyday to the different resorts in the area: Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, Solitude and Park City.

I want to spend as little money as possible since I would have to pay for ski tickets, acommodation, etc etc..

I would like to know stuff like:

- How much does the day ticket cost in those resorts (just and aprox would be helpful since Alta website doesn't show the prices).

-How much is the daily bus ride to the hills.

-Which is the best part of the city to stay, I read Sandy is a pretty good choice since it is a little bit closer to the hills and with good accessibility to the TRAX.

Finally I would like to know your opinion on the trip. I'm mostly aiming for powder and good city life when the hill is too crowded (Nightlife, museums, restaurants, etc...). Tahoe, Wyoming and Washington are good options too but I haven't studied them that much.

As always, any opinion/tip/critique is going to be well received.

Yea Sandy is good. Or Midvale or Cottonwood Heights, they're right next to Sandy. Snowbird has the best terrain if you like gnar, Alta is good too, but they don't have much for park. No reason to waste time on park at SLC though, the off piste will keep you busy. Depending on how much early season snow there is, some of the terrain may not be open yet in January (i.e. Get Serious Chutes, potentially even the Upper Cirque if it's a really bad early season), I would be inclined to go with February unless we get a lot of early season snow. Not sure on tickets, I always get a season pass. Even skiing just a few weeks you'd save money by getting a season pass if you stick to just one resort (or two that share a pass) over paying for a lift ticket each day, so it depends on how important it is to you to split it up between multiple resorts. I would just get a Snowbird season pass, stick to Snowbird and maybe a day or two at Alta, but that's coming from someone who doesn't ski park.

For park, I'd say try to get at least one day at park city, their park is amazing. Brighton is cool for both park and powder. Snowbird and alta are dreamland for off piste skiing
