Hey Newschoolers,

It is official. I am a licensed doctor of Physical Therapy. I am getting my IG going again with tips for common ski injuries/ issues. Posts I am working on now include:

-Knee cap pain

-Knee tendinitis

-Shoulder instability

-Ankle Sprains

-Shin Bang/ shin splints

Other ideas:

- overall flexibility

-lower extremity injury risk reduction

- functional strengthening for any body part

- late phase ACL Rehab

-thumb/ wrist sprains

-core strength

Any other ideas would be appreciated. I want to hear from the community.

My IG is @Skiingphysicaltherapy

Thanks! Give me a follow. More content coming in the next few weeks !!

regarding shoulder instability, would you suppose most shoulder issues in skiing stem from excessive pole planting or simply pushing off the poles on your way into the lift line? if so, what would be a good antagonist type of movement to help balance out the constant pushing off of poles

In freestyle skiing, I think awkward falls, arm flailing and pole overuse all contribute to shoulder issues. Also a lot of freestyle skiers are young/ skinny with little muscle stability around their shoulder

When I get boners my cock goes slightly downwards and to the left. The weight of my wang sets me too off axis when I spin so I would like to change the angle of my dick so I don’t d-spin when im going for a two-sev onto a flat bar.

Use your other hand once in a while to offset

Any tips for minor medial meniscus recovery? I'm back skiing pretty aggressively but every once In a while it gets angry. Spin bikes obviously but any excercises to stop it from getting worse moving forward?

I like it, keep doing separate videos for each exercise. It’s way better then a full minute video because I can easily see the form the one that I am doing

Hi I have broken ACL how fix

nah but fr I had ACL recon/meniscus repair today so a late stage ACL recovery series would be of great interest for me in the coming months

Threads and gonna give you a follow/might pick your brain a bit. Im trying to go to school for recreational therapy with an outdoor sport or sport-minded emphasis and id like to know what got you pushed into that field and what routes you took in order to do so.

Overextended my knee goin over the bars a few weeks ago, still feels pulled. Stretch it, don't stretch it? See a doc? What do

Depending on your state, you can go see a sports PT directly without a doctor referral

Working on rehabing a broken fibula right above the ankle. Amy advice for that?

Depends on your surgeon. Once cleared you’ll want to regain range of motion and fluid walking mechanics again. strengthening will happen after ROM is full. Later stages of rehab will be more fun. Plyos, multi directional stuff ect

but like honestly tho. fruit only diet would do that. make sure tho you consume herbs, and also fry fast periodically.

Intramedullary rod for a spiral tibia fracture. feeling like I have a tender spot on the upper inside of the patella, almost behind it?

Also, the screws are uncomfortable, any tips besides removal? It's first on my to-do list this summer
