Skiing near Syracuse NY

Does anybody know of any good skiing within a reasonable driving distance of Syracuse NY. I know its like 4 hrs to placid but im looking for something a bit closer.

Toggenburg will be the place for you. They have the most sense when it comes to setting up jibs. Jumps are almost always on point. There's an army of stoked kids running around with shovels making sure the bombholes and ruts don't get out of control. And on top of that, there's a good slew of events every year that usually results in a change in the park setup.

togs where its at. comming from a lab skiier i loved tog when i was there. lab is mad boring were tryin to get a park crew going and see if we can get enough hate to upper managment then they will actually listen to us. haha not sure how its gunna go tho

here is a link to a thread for a small place around hour and 45 from Syracuse.

I dig this thread... Come ski with us, we have fun. But if you're looking for some bigger mountains to shred that are doable in a single day trip, check out Bristol and Gore. Hell, even Windham and Hunter can be fun if you're just looking to cruise around and take some runs that are longer than a minute.

shit this would be good to know, threads. my brother just started his freshman year at the cuse so ill be up there shreddin a bunch this winter

not true, New York has churned out a surprisingly high number of pro/up and coming skiers, and that's definitely not because of the terrain, so it's gotta be something to do with the atmosphere and large amount of handrails readily available

no it the fact that we don't want to ski the 5 trails on the mountain so all we do is hike a rail all day everyday

Lab is way better than Tog in my opinion. I was at Syracuse for the past 5 years and enjoyed Lab's terrain and the overall vibe way better, the park at Lab was much better last year then in the past. I only ever went to tog at night, so my opinion may be skewed but the park was always ice, lots of ruts and the jumps were just strange. lab for sure

agreed anyone who has skied anywhere other than upstate new york would agree that lab is way better than togg...the vibe is so chill and no one is ever fucking there, they manage to have a decent number of features, a couple of legit jumps up to 30ft with some kick to them and apparently are getting new rails for this season...every year they put money into the park right on
