Skiing Jackson in June?

Hey guys, I'll be moving to the area from Wisconsin on June 1st and I'm wondering where I can get some turns in during the summer.

I'm very unfamiliar with the Jackson area besides the resort, but I have heard that there is good Backcountry skiing from the tram around that time. I should have a touring set-up by the time I'm out there, but also willing to bootpack. As I said, I don't know what's going on. Can somebody please fill me in?
 
If you have a bike you should bring it. If you don't, you should find a nicer hard tail on pinkbike or local consignment store and get one for ~$1500, then do some biking or get a bike park pass.
 
You can take the tram up in june (costs $$ unless you have a pass) and can ski out by cody peak.

I'd also highly recommend driving up to Beartooth pass, you can do that through early July and the drive up is probably 4-ish hours(?) but it's through Yellowstone hence a beautiful drive.

But also, bike.

Hopefully it will be happening this year, if it does happen it will be going on the second weekend of June I think? Like June 10th

I am going to try to make it up there if work doesn't interfere

There is always a good crowd around up there though.

Might be saving up for a month or five lmao. Skiing is leaving me pretty strapped lately.

Beartooth looks great! Will check out for sure. I was also just reading an article about bootpacking cody peak, sounded pretty chill.
 
how about skiing JHMR in right NOW? tram is still open for summer season til oct 8, and there's plenty of snow up there. it like me and a few buds and a few JHAF dudes and thats it. like an amazing private resort right now
