Skiing in the Alps

Hey guys, Im studying abroad in Bremen, Germany next semester so most of my skiing this season is gonna be in the alps. I have mondays and fridays off from class so im gonna be doing a lot of traveling on weekends and plan on going to the alps a few times.

So my question is, where should I go? Everywhere is gonna be decently far away so im planning on traveling pretty far anyway so closeness to Bremen shouldn't matter. Im looking for a bunch of powder and some pretty gnarly in bounds stuff (since im mostly gonna be skiing by myself probably). Park doesnt really matter too much. Basically what is the equivalent of Jackson or Snowbird or something in the alps? thanks

your a solid 8 hrs from shredding in the alps man. Thats some brutal commute. None the less I spent this past winter living in the state of vorarlberg in Austria. It borders switzerland and germany and is where a lot of Legs of steel footage was shot. Silvretta Nova at Montafon is probably the closest big resort to Bremen and may be your best bet. (no hostel though so I would advise trying to couch surf) You will want to get either a euro rail pass while you are there or maybe just one for the Deutsch Bhan(German train system) Once you cross into Austria Montafon is only 45 more min. more on the train. On another note if you want to travel an hour or two more its well worth it to go to Innsbruck in Austria where you could set up camp at a cheap hostel. Innsbruck is a bigger city with a sick night life which is always a plus and is within an hour of a handful of resorts in the Tyrol region.

thanks man! im not too concerned about the commute since im getting a rail pass that works all over for christmas and ill probably just catch a night train after class thursday and ski friday saturday sunday
