Skiing in Spain

Alright so I'm not sure how many if any at all people there are from Spain on NS, but if there are, or if you have been there skiing I could use some help. I was wondering what the skiing is like near Barcelona, (how far from the city, how easy it is to get to the mountain, where good places to go are...) because I may be spending the winter there next year. I'm from the east coast so biggest and best lines aren't really my hugest concern, but any advice/help, even if it's to go somewhere else would be a huge help.

Barcelona is around 100 miles from Andorra in the Pyrenees (Tiny country between France and Spain if anyone didn't know!) which is super legit for skiing... never been but i have a friend from there who says its good... plus its cheaper than the Alps which is a bonus.
there are also plenty of spanish places and french places just over the border in the pyrenees. And don't forget you will be only 6 hours from Barcelona to the alps for the really steep shit.

Hey! I'm from Barcelona. I usually ski in french stations like Font-Romeu, sickest park or Porté Puymorens. Otherways there are some spanish like La Molina or La Masella. All of this is at 2hr more or less of Barcelona. Andorra is at 3hr from Barcelona and it's sick as hell! Grandvalira has loads of stations like Tarter, Grau-Roig, Soldeu, El Pas de la Casa. And in Tarter you can find the sickest park of all Spain. It's amazing! for any info you can contact me.

I hope I had been useful.

as gaspar said before, andorra y probably the best choice for park (el tarter), only 3 hour driving from barcelona.

but if you are looking for powder you should go to Baqueira, best resort for pow, also 3 hours from barcelona

I used to live in Barcelona and we would go up to Andorra all the time. pal / arinsal was a lot of fun. Andorra is a really sick place and the bus ride to the mtn was wicked. Have fun.

all of my friends back in spain go up to andorra to ski. it's a bit more of a drive out of barcelona, but it's worth it. also, when anyone says stations, it means ski resorts. you'll have a blast in barcelona dude.
