Skiing In Skateparks

has anyone ever tried it? i was thinkin about it cause my skatepark has some nice rails and even the quarterpipes could be possible.
 
Yeah, I want to do it this year.

There is a raised platform, and on either side there is a slope, one of the slopes has a rail on it followed by a rail on the flat.
 
people have done it and depending on the feature it can work pretty well. the only problem is that on the smooth surface its pretty hard to get snow to stay but like i said it depend on what feature and how the park is set up
 
Yeah.. it has been done in a few shred and ski flicks... i wish terrain parks were built more like skate parks though, the standard jump jump jump gets boring, i wish there were more options and unique transfers to hit.
 
2 things.

you need way more snow than you would think.

and if you think you have enough speed. you need 3 times that, but yes it works
 
yeah.. i mean people would probably hit each other all the time, but you could have jumps pretty close to eachother and have slopes on either side of them to give you more options... there is def a lot of room for creative developement in parks... i just see skater and bmxers rip up a skate park, i get jealous, and just wish i could have the same feeling skiing.
