I've decided to go to university in nova scotia and was wondering if there was anywhere to ski. I hear that there isn't much back country but what about parks?
Skiing in nova scotia?

I am in Nova Scotia for school now, at Dal. Where are you headed?
In terms of park skiing it is shit compared to Ontario (looked on your profile and saw your from Ontario too). One of the two hills here, Martock has was is essentially a mini park only. Small rails and tiny jumps. The other hill, Wentworth has it a bit better with a few medium jumps and some good rails, but everything is still small compared to Ontario's parks.
Backcountry skiing? not here. There is some fun tree skiing at Wentworth both in and out of bounds, better than anything I ever found in Ontario, but I wouldn't call it backcountry at all.

I'm thinking about Acadia, and i checked on google maps that the closest "hill" would be Martock. I suppose I could do day trips to Martock and take the weekends or holidays to a bigger mountain.
