Hey all,

i currently live in australia but am moving to canada(Manitoba) and i am wondering if there are any good mountains in manitoba? anyone that can give suggestions it would be very helpful

hahahaha

oh man. For skiing you're going to the wrong province, there is skiing but not like in BC, Alberta and even Quebec.

Although I think Manitoba is home to the worlds shortest high speed quad chair.

But hey could be worse, could have been Sask

HA....man you can cross country ski but even that will get boring in Manitoba.....think of it as trying to ski on a frozen lake......SICK

Not sure why you're moving there, but make sure you make your way to BC for some killer mountains, and some killer powder

Yeh guys i thought i was a crap place. my mother is moving there so i am going with her. i am thinking of going over to banff and try to find a job. thanks anyway.

Spring Hill Winter Park my friend. It's been my home for the last 6 years. It's small, they just had a big addition of dirt on it lol. There's also assisippi. Where are u moving to? Winnipeg? btw my names shawn.

Yeh i move over in december so hopefully i can get one then. if there are any places that would like a young aussie that will do anything i would be very thankful. some cheap accomodation would be great too

it might be a little charder to find a job in December.

If you can go earlier, like ASAP. Most jobs do their hiring late october early november.

But there are many places that will hire later in season just not as good of jobs.

Most hotels have staff accom. And apprently the best deal in town is McDonalds 12bones an hour plus staff accom.

Asessippi is probably the best place in Manitoba. I went there today. It was ok. But BC would be a better choice.

It's pretty awful from what I know about Manitoba... Australia has way bigger stuff, if that's any comparison...
Oh well... Least you're not going to Saskatchewan -aka the flattest place in the world.
