Skiing in end of April/May

Hey guys im pretty sure im coming to Europe and staying in Germany with a budddy. Ive never skied anywhere but the USA, my friend told me there are some decent summer parks around that time. Can you all give me some suggestions on places to go?
 
Zermatt should be great, but they switch to summer skiing on May 2nd 2010. This means instead of everything being open, just the lower glacier is open which is very boring. Most years they stay open a week longer than scheduled, but you can't really count on that. Don't count on a park.

Saas-Fee closes May 3rd and doesn't open again until July.
 
don't go on a glacier in april, i can still be fucking cold or shitty wheather. try laay or mayrhofen. fellhorn would be the closest if you're not all the way in the east or west of germany, but it might only be open till late april. get back to me when you`re down here and i'll tell you
