Skiing in Chile

Next year, I might hopefully be able to go to Chile for about 8 days.

Basically looking at Valle Nevado for about 6 days and El Colorado for 2, and each of those resorts appears to have a solid park, but do either of them actually have quality terrain even if there isn't new snow? Or what about terrain that is fantastic in the event that there's lots of pow? I've heard Tres Puntas lift in Valle Nevado and the "east side" in El Colorado are good options, but they don't look like much from what I can tell. A quick rundown on each resort would be helpful, in addition to some more detail about each park perhaps.

Also what about Portillo? Apparently it has some of the best terrain in Chile although it's in the backcountry (and I don't ski backcountry). I know there's no park there so it could be 6 days in Valle Nevado and 2 days there.

Or any other good options? Argentina perhaps?

Let me clarify "good terrain" out of the park. I'm talking something fairly steep or something with small-moderate cliffs/natural features or something that is decently challenging. And in the likely event that there isn't new snow for a while, would this terrain still be somewhat soft and enjoyable, or would it be hard-crusted with moguls sprouting up everywhere? Forgot to include that it would be mid-August.

El Colorados park is crazy. They have a whole park with just urban features, and they have a park with good size jumps and rails. Valle Nevados park is pretty small.
