Skiing in August!?

Hey dudes,

we are the http://www.freeski-crew.com. In our home, the alps we are pretty famous for filming.

But we wanna see more. Our problem is, that we've only time for a trip in august.

Therefore our question: were else aside from the alps can you go summerskiing? We don't wanna "go in the winter", like Newsealand. Is it possible in the States (Mt Hood)? In Canada (Whistler?)? In Scandinavia (Stryn, Fonna?)? ...

Thanks for your help,

Bene

pretty slick website, great videos too (http://www.freeski-crew.com) where abouts in the alps are you guys ? you might want to check out some of the summer camps run in the US... Other than that, what are the alps like for summer skiing, I live in the UK and would love to get some summer skiing in.

Mt Hood is probably your best bet within the US, since they usually have snow in August. Whistler's pretty much done by then (most summer camps only run till end of July at Whistler).

If money's an issue, though, I wouldn't recommend going to summer camp, not worth it from your perspective. Mt. Hood, Chile, Argentina, and New Zealand look like your choices.

Yea pretty sure if you are looking for some "summer skiing"ish than I'm guessing NZ wouldn't be too bad considering thats sorta near the end of the season which may get you some slushies...
