this year i spent most of my time in the park, workin on my slides and 270's. i mean what better way to spend the day than sitting in the park, ( i mean on a nice warm day when the snow sucks)

well thats what i thought until i got home that night. my dad picks us up at the local resort, right.

my dad asked us where we skied that day, i told him the park and he started to freak out. he told me that that was a waste of time and that now i will suck at skiing becuase i just sit in the park allday

i said no i will be good at skiing becuase i stayed in the park all day. he doesnt think that skiing in the park is skiing. i dont know why!

a friend of mine has 3 young boys that ski - whenever they ski the park he trips out on them as well. it's hilarious to watch the old man go off.

i have 3 little ones and it scares me whenthey go flying through those obsticals out of control!

it can be quit worrysome

Although I do not agree with your Pops, I can see a point that he is making. Just look at all the best in the sport right now. Most of them come from racing, freestyle or moguls backgrounds -- so if that is more the route he would have you go, then it makes sense. I think that there is something that racers learn about control that gives them the advantage over a skier who grew up in the park, and only did park. Feel me?

man get out of the park and ski around you will find sooo much funner stuff!

go to alta and jut try to do something cool of of everything you come to you will soon realize mountains have way more features than any park

Yeah I'm livin in the midwest now i just moved so I'm plannin on riding a ton of park for the 2 years im going to be here but when i was back west I only spent like 2-4 hours in the park. I like to find natural features, build my own kickers with my friends, ride steep pow, or just goof off. but since i live were i do i've been deprived of alot of those. So for me it's understandable to ride park if your in the east but if your sitting in the west don't just sit in the park cuz it truly not appreciating the mountain. Most people out here don't believe mountains can really be bigger than 10 midwestern ones high. So love what you got while you got it.
