Skiing around billings MT

Hey gang I just moved to Billings for a new job and want to know if anybody has skied red lodge. I'm thinking about getting a pass and want to know if its sweet or sheet. Is the snowfall usually good? Is the park sick? Also, I'm looking for a local ski shop that does a good job with boot fittings and mounting.

Hi friend! Welcome to Montana, you’re best bet is going to be Red Lodge unless you want to drive 2.5 hours to Bridger Bowl. Red Lodge is honestly a lot of fun, there’s good pow skiing there. It’s nothing too gnarly but the vibes are good and it’s a smaller resort.

Thanks for the responses, anybody see the park? On their website it says they have 2. I'm assuming one is a baby park and the other one is larger.

The main park is okay, you can expect 2-4 small/medium jumps. And 6-8 rails/features in the park. There is a little park with some basic boxes and mini rails aswell. Some of the best jumps are little kickers people build around the mountain. Great place though

red lodge is kinda fun when it gets snow, but there are a fuckload of rocks everywhere when coverage is low (most of the time that I was there). seems like early and late season are best. there's a reason it's nicknames "rock-dodge"
