Skiing and Reddit

Just starting to mess with reddit a little. What threads or subthreads do you guys use? Also is it even a good resource for this sort of thing?
 
/r/skiing is really the only one I go on other than local subs that sometimes has posts about skiing. The sub is full of older people who for the most part don’t like park skiiers, it seems out of the norm for a Reddit community tbh. There is still good discussions though.
 
NS is miles ahead. Seems like reddit has a bunch of gapers, and I mean gapers in the sense of everyone just talks out their ass about anything so take anyone's words with that grain of salt
 
Stick with NS for all things freeskiing. /r/skiing will occasionally have something related to freeskiing (usually stuff that spills over from NS), but it isn't what the subreddit is about. The vast majority of the time it is general skiing discussion, pictures of new gear, mountain reports, etc. There are definitely a lot of gapers on there, but overall it isn't that bad. NS is 100x better than /r/skiing for content.

Reddit is the truth though. Literally everything is on there.
 
Reddit is just 90% pictures of resorts, no actual content, not even pictures of people skiing. They don't even bother to post others good content there, which is the whole point of reddit in the first place. And they are all gapers who spew the most retarded shit, there is so much wrong information on that site.

Edit: seems like they started using a sticky thread to contain gaper posts of resorts. /r/skiing might be worth checking out from now on.

/r/skiing isn’t too bad. I mean if you subscribe to it because you’re already on there for other stuff it’s kinda fun to see videos and pics posted. Sometimes it’s just dads with their new soul 7s but Lately there’s been some good content.

Yup, checked it today for the first time in forever and actually stuck around for a little bit.
