Skiing and Driving

I was just crusin' down the street today, stopped at a store, and had to pull out of a space and noticed that alot of the same ways i drive in reverse I ride switch while skiing.. I guess the point of this is that skiing definitely makes you a better driver. If you are used to riding switch and looking over your shoulder, then those tactics will continue over to things like driving a car. I dunno, I thought it was a pretty cool concept. Especially when you ski you always have to be aware of whats around you at all times, same with driving. But, when i was driving my car 'switch' I noticed I would burry my head to the same shoulder i ride switch in while I ski, and i fucken felt like I was skiing, or maybe I was just to stoned.. haha.. anyways, anyone feel my pain?

lol yeah me neither, It just came to me today... i thought it was a pretty rad concept though, only if the entire world ski'd there wouldn't be such shitty drivers

Theres a lot of shit that relates to skiing that you do everyday......you'd be surprised.

that makes sense also cuz when i ski i'm bombing past people a turning all over the plkace toavoid trees and snowboarders so its a lot like the freeway but the cops aren't there to pull me over. hehe

Whenever I drive down my fat hill i make big fat GS turns like I'm skiing and its fucking fun.

do you think that since this generation of children has video games, they are better drivers than the older generations who didn't?

Kinda related to this, but I think Mountain Biking is really helpful for skiing too. Like, when your flying through the woods on a rocky dirt trail, you have to constantly be watching whats in front of you so that you can react quick enough to avoid the ditches or the rocks. It helps with quick reaction time and also with like visual stuff too

skiing is a lot like driving now that I think about it. There are tons of bad skiiers that do stupid stuff and cut people off and crash all the time. There are tons of bad drivers that do the same things.

i dont drive so i can't relate to that feeling. It sounds sort of odd though... you don't normally put skiing and driving together.

me and mountain bikes dont go together, and i think when i drive switch, i look the wrong direction, i look over my right shoulder, this translates into looking over my right shoulder when skiing
