Skiing alone

Have you ever gone skiing alone or always with friends?

And if your in a Group would you welcome someone to join you for the day? Or have you ever ask someone if you could join them?

When im alone, sometimes I try to find nice person and ask them to ride with them or youcan also try to find an others person that is alone

I normally don't ski alone. I kind of like it tho cause I feel like I'm in an edit. I asked people if I could join them lots of times. And if you're skiing alone and you see me skiing with my crew or without 'em, just come up and ask me.

I love skiing alone. I'm the only one out of my friends that will get up early for a pow day. I hate waiting for people. When I'm touring though, I always make sure I have at least 2 other people with me

Ya what bum.life said. I try to never go alone BC or touring. On piste or park on the other hand, I don't mind being alone. I hate waiting for people in the morning, so I usually ski hard laps in the morning then meet up after lunch or something

I will ski solo as long as I'm on open trails or where other people can see me. Its super fun to just go your own pace.

dude I fucking love skiing alone , blast your music and wait for no one.

I usually always go with my crew, but it makes me appreciate the days alone more. You wait for NOBODY and you go through laps like nothing.

I don't ask people to ski with them just not my style, but I'll let people ski with us no doubt.

Fuck yes.

I spent years skiing alone most of the time. Absolutely loved it.

Soul skiing to the max.

I love skiing alone once and a while...so peaceful and relaxing. Used to do it my freshman year when I had 3/4 of a day off a couple days a week and no one else could come with me. Was so nice to escape the BS of living in the dorms surrounded by people 24/7

I don't have any friends that ski so I'm almost always alone. It used to be fun but I just want someone to ski with now.

I think skiing alone is awesome, but i know that i don't push myself as much as i would if my friends were around.

Theres both pros and cons. If i wanna land a new trick, i always have my buds there to encourage me. But if i just wanna go chill and have many laps in the park, i just crank up the music and it almost feels like you are alone in the park.

Plus if you land a new trick and none of your friends are there to see it, did you really do it?

You did but they might not believe you so you'll have to do it again! Which shouldn't be a problem. Do it once you can do it again.

Skiing alone is chill but you can't be getting out there and shredding with your friends especially if everyone is at similar skill level and pace

I'm new to the freestyle side of skiing so if I'm in the park I want some friends with me to help laugh at how bad I am. I live in Illinois so there's no backcountry to worry about haha. Other than that skiing alone would be pretty fun every once in a while.

i usually lap the park alone so i try to make friends on the lift . ON the rare occasion i get someone to come up with me but they barely ski anymore so they suck

I like going alone sometimes. Going with friends is cool too. I definitely feel like I push myself more when I'm with other people.

I definitely would invite someone. I'm always down for meeting new people. We have a pretty small park scene at my hill so it rarely happens but I would definitely ask someone to chill with us. Like I said, the scene is pretty small so I'd likely already know the people so I wouldn't really have to ask. But I probably would feel really awkward asking random people if I could ski with them.

Dont ski much park anymore and I usually ski hot laps on my local hill and just blasting. And I don't even listen to music while skiing because I think it takes away the soul?

But yeah skiing alone can fucking suck and it can be the best thing ever. But when in dangerous territory always be a couple of friends.

when im at school in central ny I ski alone... sometimes join other groups.... but you have to bring something to the table (beers buds and backflips)

If you're a die hard skier.. no one else skis on your schedule. 6am powder days etc.....

I live 6 hours from my mountain so none of my friends ski... I usually end up lapping the park and meeting one or two more new people.

It's so much fun to have friends around to share the fun with, but every now and then it's nice to crank some tunes and get ignant and hyphy and so on and so forth.

honestly skiing alone is the worst concept ever. Its so boring on the lifts, and its fun when theres a mega possie. If you have friends who are equal in skill then waiting up for em isn't a problem. I never ski alone.

This right here is exactly the reason I ski alone, there is nothing better than turning up your favorite music and just making lap after lap after lap. Honestly one of the best feelings in the world when you just need some time to yourself

Don't make things so weird OP.

If somebody wants to ski with you just do it, unless they're strange and you're freaked out or something. It's not a job application or something, they just want to shred. You shouldn't have to audition and then be approved by 3/4 of the group members to go skiing with people. Just lighten up and have fun out there. Skiing isn't serious business.

And yes, I've skied alone plenty.

idk why but every time i ski alone i meet some chick who shreds but lives in the east coast but in the west visiting for the week

I pretty much only ski alone, none of my friends ever want to shred cause i live in IL and no one skis.

You feel like a fuckin boss too cause when you stomp a trick theres no one to celebrate with, so you just ski away, lookin like it aint shit.

I usually ski alone. Sometimes it gets lonely or sucks, but for the most part it's awesome and it let's me do whatever I want.

All my friends are boarders so I ski with snowboarders :(

Half my mates ski and half board. The only downside with skiing with boarders is waiting for them to do their bindings. If the boarders go in the chair ahead its no so bad though.

I almost never ski alone but when i do its nice however id rather ski with a bunch of friends. Plus on the tow rope u never have to wait

i almost always ski with a squad of 3 or 4 usually... but ive always thought that skiing alone would be very peaceful...maybe discover some more about yourself while clicked into your skis but idk because im always with people...i should try skiing alone sometime

Yea iv thought about going alone sounds peaceful. I like hiking and fishing alone so idk why skiing wouldn't be a good time. Most of the time tho i definitely rather have my buddies around.

Some of my favorite days are when I'm skiing alone. Don't have to wait for anyone, you can just focus on what you're doing, and sometimes you meet some really cool people. Also you're on your own schedule. You don't have to worry about friends wanting to leave

i get a month off school for Christmas and all my friends are sill in school its nice to ski but i don't really like skiing alone i have a crew

I love to ski alone. But I also love to ski with friends. Two totally different experiences that are equally rad. Sometimes it can definitely be a little scary skiing alone, so I tend to stay somewhere where I know someone would find me if I wrecked.

All of my friends weren't skiing last year and it was my first year skiing. Skiing alone when you're a begginer is a little bit boring because there's nobody to pump you to try your first rail or 360 or whatever. But when your at a certain level when your pretty good and comfortable in the park, it should be fun.

I usually ski alone. Skiing with someone else is usually only worth it if they are good enough and enjoy the same kind of terrain.

I fucking love skiing alone. You feel like you're on your own mission. Earbuds in, choosing your own way, bombing as fast as you can. The mountain is your adventure.

I honestly prefer skiing alone...and I'm the type of guy that really enjoys skiing with a crew. It's a different type of feeling, and it's fucking awesome.
