Skiers in LA??

I moved to LA from Colorado for work about a month ago. I still want to ski while I'm here even though it is still over 80deg in November. I'm thinking about getting a season pass to either Mountain High or Bear Mountain. Mountain High's pass is $350 until Nov 6th and Bear Mountain's pass is $460 until Nov 18th. Mountain High is 40 minutes closer to me than Bear Mountain.

Can someone who has skied both resorts tell me more about them?

Ok so I didnt realize there was already a thread discussing bear mountain and mountain high here

I might just go with the mountain high pass. California snowboarders aint got shit on me.

I'd say go with bear, idk what pass ur looking at but Don't get dual mountain, also bear only is good for night seshes at snow summit, ... Bear actually gets decent snow on occasion, ull be bummed to ski at my.high it's tiny

you dont want to go to bear on saturdays anyways. its the biggest gaper day ever weekend.

i'm probably getting the weekday + sunday for 350.

what part of LA you in?

If you're driving 2.5 hours round trip to bear just go to mammoth.

Mt. high sucks but at least the rails are fun in the morning before they get taco'd.

I guess my vote goes mt. high.

like Cheech said, go to Mammoth instead, worth the trek, we split a house for the season and organize carpools every weekend. also, when it gets coverage, Mt. Baldy is worth it compared to High or Bear.

The snow is consistently better at bear than mt.high.Mt. High has night skiing every night most of the season but the snow turns really weird at night so none of the lips are any good and it's hard to get a good edge.

Summit has night sessions most of the season and the bear only pass is good for nights at summit. Bear has more terrain and better snow.

You choose.

Personally, I hate Mt. high, every time i go there, I leave mad or hurt or after 1 run.
