Skiers don't do anything. F_# FIS

So without athletes, sports and gigantic contracts don't exist. The NFL has a contract in the billions of dollars, as does the NCAA and countless other sports. College kids don't get paid, but in the NFL they do. But, how does someone act like this clown from FIS???? I'm sure you've all seen the video with Gus coming out and talking back to him. If there werent' skiers risking life and limb, there would be no sponsors or money.

Curious on opinions.
 
That old guy talkin crap shouldn't be working in freestyle skiing period. He's too old. Has the played out mentality that we're all useless punks. I hate that so much
 
There's a comradery in skiing that's rare in other sports. I think we'll see the athletes get together and go against FIS.

hey now, age is a number. I'm 38 and still consider myself a good skier and athlete. Maybe I'm biased....... yea tho that dude should have no responsibility with running a freeskiing event. He sounded like a clown.

nothing will happen because skiers will jump in front of a bus to get themselves acknowledged by a governing body. Look how many times it has happened. FIS x2, IFSA,

all the world cup events. X games and (i think) Dew Tour are some, if not the only, Platinum level events that arent controlled by FIS.

As much as FIS sucks, they need to stay cause i want to see more comps cause ive been enjoying the way courses are being built now which bring on a lot more creative riding styles. They body controlling FIS needs to change. They have to realize that they are only half of a equation that makes the FIS run and if they piss off all the riders and treat them like shit, they wont have an FIS to run anymore

"Comments to athletes during management of a challenging situation with the World Championship slopestyle skiing event this weekend were not in this spirit, resulting in a lack of respect and inclusion in the event decision-making process the athletes deserved. We look forward to continuing to work with our international federation engendering greater mutual respect for athletes."

And World Cup Slopestyle, Pipe, and Big Air. Racing, moguls, aerials, ski jumping.

Basically everything. The road to the Olympics goes through FIS.

And they still suck.

Tiger is a boss, he was formerly a USST himself, his kids all were fantastic skiers (unsure if any made the D team) and most skied in college at the D1 level, so he knows what is up.

From memory, there was a rail which got re-waxed midway through the event, the riders weren't informed and everyone found it pretty sketchy and struggled to land runs.

Also, may have been speed issues with jumps which were due to questionable course setup but I may be confusing that with another comp
