Skier you respect the most?

I think for me, you just gotta respect Jahss the boss. I skied next to him on a traverse at Deer Valley (pretty surprising to run into a pro freeskier there) and I said what's good and I felt almost like he was gonna stop skiing on the slow meandering traverse just to talk to me. The nicest dude...I then thought back to the Olympics and I feel like Goepper and Kenworthy kinda used the podium to self promote and leverage fame and Joss who took the gold was always so low key about it. No hate to Goepper and Kenworthy, because despite that little dig, I have immense respect for both of those guys and how much they have pushed skiing as well (Im sure they really care about my opinion anyways) Also with Joss creating SLVSH and SLAPP with Walker, I feel he really has pushed skiing in the right direction. Not to totally knob him off, I just think since he's so low key sometimes he gets overlooked a bit.

I guess another name I would mention here is Joffrey Pollet Villard...I remember reading an interview with him and him saying that he wears a balaclava because he wants to be judged

by nothing but his skiing and I just thought that was a really cool outlook. I really hope he podiums a major contest today with that iconic flat 5 to the moon in the middle.

Anyway sorry for ranting a bit just thought I would throw out some respeto where it's due...who do you guys respect?

Ha ha. Respect Gets Respect. For me it's kids like Fletcher Johnson.

Here you go. https://www.newschoolers.com/videos...Laps-Fletcher-Johnson-March-23rd-2017?c=48941

I've always had the upmost respect for Cam Riley. Don't hear shit from him all season then he drops one of, if not THE heaviest street segments of the year. Not to mention he co-produces the movies ontop of getting shots himself.

Tanner Hall.

Can't say I like the guy but goddamn does he deserve my respect more than anyone. He helped create Armada at a time he could've taken more money to go to any other brand, pushed the sport in almost every way, battled back from numerous huge injuries, and did it all without conforming to an image or giving a single fuck about what people thought of him. You may not like him or the words he says but to me that's pretty admirable.

I met Gus when I was younger. He was pretty down to earth. I thought it was the shit to meet him and some of the ariel Olympians. Still have the pair of aviators that they all signed.

Edollo! The dudes always stoked and doesn't take competition serious, always having fun with it. Also met Andy and Cole a few years back. Super nice guys

For me it's the skiers that arrange the tours and meetings to get kids stoked on skiing. Andy Parry with the taft, the guys behind the inspiredmedia tour etc. Such an awesome thing to do

my man Steve Stepp, can't get enough of him. He embodies swag (whatever that means), great style, and he can get away with shitting on half the freeskiing community without anyone batting an eyelash (outside of the snowbird locals, but lets be honest, that drama was funnier than the video that caused it)

op don't forget that joss also founded slvsh alongside matt walker. those two are both up there in my book. walker was kinda laying low for years just slaying shit on his own time and then came through with one of the coolest ideas to hit skiing since the twin tip. although fuck the bose ads lol

on top of that, Tanner Hall is such a legit guy. He takes his time talking to the youth and fans. he responds to DM's and is hella chill. We need more people in the industry like this

on a separate note, this is kind of funny but i respect wabs for changing shit up. hes starting a new style and movement of skiing

Tbh kenworthy has all of my respect. Dude can put it down in any discipline and always hypes up other skiers. Anyone who watched the Olympics saw how much it meant to him and Joss is one of his best friends too. Don't know why people love to bash him.

Jahss and Wallisch are legends, down to earth good blokes who are passionate about skiing. Would love to spend a day with all three.

Tall T Dan. Quite honestly hes pushed and excelled the level of skiing so much over the years with his diverse book of tricks and unique style. I can see many other skiiers inspired by his huge tricks and complex rail maneuvers. Not to mention he has the utmost respect for others, constantly excelling the sport to new heights.

JP Auclair still takes the cake for me. Positive vibes and smiles, being genuine and doing all he could to offset the impact we have on our planet. Who else could ski like that and do so much for the people that he passionately cared for? Legit miss the dude.

Of living skiers, probably Pep or Pollard. So down to earth, legitimately stoked to be on skis and raise skiing kiddos, and they've shaped the possibilities of powder skiing over their entire careers of almost two decades. The artistic and soft-spoken subtlety out of the limelight just adds to their status.

Jesper Tjäder anyone? Dude has mad creativity and style whenever he looks at a park. Not only that but his style is super technical but laid back at the same time plus he goes huge when the opportunity arises.

THIS. Plus the fact that he just went back and hit Chad's after the injury and all he went through from that gap,, is just mindblowing. You have to respect him for that.

Woodsy, he's got style, big tricks and is super down to earth and freindly. ( well thats what i heard about him)
