how many skier only resorts are there left? i know there is alta and somewhere in new mexico i think, but i cant think of any others, anybody know?

alta taos and mad river glen are the only non snowboard resorts in the us... there are no snowboard only resorts.....

im pretty sure bear mtn in cali was suppose to be all snowboarders but skiers can still go anyway

mad river is henious. they have 1 person chair.. its really old school. but the terranin is nasty.. realy good moguls teh clifs are fun when it snows

actually mrg is just completely wonderful in every aspect. the one chair lift is dope. it's the nicest terrain in the east easily. so awesome.

yeah west definitely has it right, the only one ive been to is alta and its actually kinda nice to have a skier only resort

aspen used to be about ten years ago or something. i heard of a place in teh midwest that was just a big park and was snowboard only

Skier only resorts are stupid. I ski, but still, whats wrong with baorders. We would bitch and whine If skiers weren't allowed into the park as it used to be, they should be allowed to use the same resorts

 
I meant by nasty, really good,, its sorta ebonics i guess you guys need to catch on.. i was there last year during new years and it dumpes 2 feet of snow.. it was soo dam fun.. the trees and paridise. and the chili..... god it was a blast

well at alta there are many traverses and side steps to get to the good areas, so really it wouldnt be possible for a snowboarder

There are some good reasons to have skier only resorts... To see that you'd only have to ski at Bear Mtn... It might as well be a boarder only resort, cause everyone is on boards, cause it's the cool thing, and there aren't too many of them who know what they're doing, so they get really good at getting in the way, as in stuck on traverses, and just sitting in the wrong place all the time. If there were boarders at Alta it would definately hinder the enjoyability of the place. Bear is OK, but it just shows you what happens when there are TOO many boarders in a place.
